Vanquish Mega Thread - Games

Russia and the United States are vying for ownership of the world’s fast-depleting energy resources and the US has constructed a space station in order to harness energy from the sun. Russian forces capture this space station and divert its harvested solar energy into a blast wave that destroys San Francisco, aiming to force the US into a total and unconditional surrender. In response, the US tasks its armed forces with recapturing the space station before the Russians can annihilate their next target – New York. The player will take control of Sam , a government agent kitted out with a futuristic battle-suit. [B]Weapons[/B] So far, the only weapons I have seen: [LIST] [*]Assault rifle [*]Heavy machine gun [*]Shotgun [*]Rocket launcher [*]Disk launcher [*]Sniper rifle [*]Lock-on laser [*]Shock grenades [*]Reg. grenades [/LIST] [B]Weapon upgrade packs [/B]There are hidden upgrade packs in different levels. The upgrades can do many things such as upgrade fire rate, damage,and capacity. Only have seen one in the tutorial in the demo. [B] Bullet Time [/B] When ever you are hit too many times, you will enter an bullet time like state where you can doge weapon fire and even shoot rockets. You can also enter while dashing,and rolling. There is a consequence for staying in it for too long. Staying in for too long will overheat your suit causing you to be vulnerable and walk 30% slower. The heat bar is below your ammo and weapon load out. [B]Dashing[/B] A very useful maneuver is the dashing move. As seen on the box cover, your suit has a jet system on the back that allows you to slide cover to cover. You can also enter bullet time while sliding to shoot at exposed enemies. This will also decrease your heat meter. Tried the demo on the 360. Apart from the fact that it was boring, it was loads of fun. Jumping over cover in slow motion and taking out 4-6 enemies was awesome. :v:

:sigh: Why are the Russians always the bad guys?

Just finished the demo. Crazy awesome. Definitely from the guys who did Bayonetta. Loved the boss fight at the end. Boosting around the level was a ton of fun.

I can dominate the final boss in about a minute and a half with a Heavy Machine Gun. Soooo fun.

I played the demo today, and holy shit was it awesome, this game has gone nearly completley under the radar for me, until a friend mentioned it the over day, very under hyped and will definatley be getting this.

I really liked it though I wasn't a fan of the boss at the end of the demo it seemed to go on a bit too long

I love doing combos with bullet time.
