Hey guys. First off, I'd like to say hi! As I'm new to the facepunch forums. I have known of facepunch for a long time, just never got around to registering. I know that's such a cliche story to tell when you newly registered and want to seem like an old lurker, but it's true. I really have been browsing the forums for a while.
Now that I got that out of my chest and into your head like a parasitic alien, let me tell you why I'm here. I was reading the thread that was made a few weeks ago that said Minecraft needed a drug mod. I agreed with it, and so I began my journey to create this mod. However, I didn't want it to influence anyone, so I decided not to use real drugs, and make my own Minecraftian drug named "Venenum."
The mod is much like the GMod DURGZ MOD, wherein it flashes the screen with different colors, and tells you to "GET MORE V! GET MORE V!" Here's the link to the MC forum thread for those interested: [url]http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1039&t=345565[/url]
It's not done yet though, as I'm planning a few changes. So that's about it, check it out if you're interested, or don't if you're not...

Yeah, if I did weed a weed mod, or I did a coke mod, it would really mess the game mechanics up if you could jump high or move fast. So I made a new drug, which attends to what every 12 year old on the MC Forums thinks drugs do to you. At least most of them.
Not to mention if you're on weed and see flashing lights you trip the fuck out.
I don't like bright lights when I'm high, at least artificial lights. Going outside to a grassy field during the day is awesome as fuck when high

Smoking weed doesn't make you see colors, and bright lights are just annoying when stoned. Also, I fail to see why you would need to make the player move faster or jump higher if it was a cocaine or weed mod. Seriously, where's the logic in that?

Someone beat you to it by oh my god I don't even know how long. As soon as wheat got finished up there was a weed growing mod. It started as a texture pack but then someone liked how ridiculous it got and made it into a real mod. I can't even find it now, there are so many ripoffs of it.

Weed would make you fly, cause that's what it feels like when you're high. At least it makes me feel weightless like that. And coke would make you jump higher and run faster because it gives you shitloads of energy. Plus, I never said weed makes you do any of that.

The first one is an example of the GLSL shaders, that's not a drug mod, that's just a video showing off what they do, as the GLSL shaders are not meant as a drug mod.
The second one is a texture pack, again not a mod.
The third one is the only one that counts, as it is a drug mod. So you gave me one example of a drug mod. Good for you. You found one. And it's only been a few weeks since that was posted, so no he didn't beat me to it by too long. Ideas don't count, they're just ideas, not mods.

This reminds me,there was a texture pack that replaced torches with joints,saplings with marijuana in a pot and replaced bread with a marijuana leaf or something.It didn't change anything else.
