Whenever I try to run Fallout 1, it either crashes on run, the screen flicks from black to normal, the colours are all fucked, or it fucks my monitor to the point I have to restart it
does anyone know a fix for this?

Tried running it in compatibility mode?
It has been discussed many times. It's a problem with Aero and old games. Kill explorer.exe when running the game, start it again when you finish playing.
