After completing their character's respective origin story, the player encounters Duncan, leader of an elite group known as the Grey Wardens. Duncan guides the player to their destiny of becoming a Grey Warden, and dedicating their life to the destruction of the Darkspawn, a force of demon-like creatures that live underground and have at various points in history (for a total of four before the time of the game) invaded the surface dwellers of Thedas in massive movements known as Blights.
The player and Duncan journey to a fortress called Ostagar in southern Ferelden, to join the King of Ferelden, Cailan. There they plan to make a stand against the encroaching Darkspawn, who Duncan believes have gathered for the first true Blight in 400 years. Duncan has sensed the influence of an Archdemon, a great being hosted in the body of a powerful dragon, in the Darkspawn's actions, making a Blight possible. King Cailan gathers his army, with his father-in-law and revered hero of the nation, Loghain Mac Tir, as his commander. All parties involved plan for Cailan to charge the Darkspawn as they approach the fortress at Ostagar, and then have Loghain lead his forces to flank and destroy the Darkspawn.

Alright, here's what I was gonna have in my OP.
-
Copy pasta from Wikipedia.
Dragon Age: Origins (also shortened to Dragon Age) is a computer role-playing game developed by BioWare's Edmonton studio and described by them as an "epic tale of violence, lust, and betrayal." The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2009.
Dragon Age: Origins uses a new game engine named Eclipse, for which a toolset for creation of fan-made content is available to owners of the PC version. The game is single-player only and does not provide LAN support. BioWare co-CEO Ray Muzyka described Dragon Age: Origins as a "spiritual successor" to the Baldur's Gate series, though it is not based on Dungeons & Dragons.
There is also downloadable content, both released, and in the works.
BioWare announced on October 8, 2009 that two pieces of downloadable content will be available on the game's launch - The Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep. By November 12, 2009, BioWare announced that sales of downloadable content had generated over one million dollars of sales revenue.
The Stone Prisoner
Downloading The Stone Prisoner adds Shale to the game, a stone golem and a party member. Shale is a powerful character and has a large back story, with extensive voice acting, and a unique quest attached to it. The Stone Prisoner also adds new locations and items. Every new retail box contains a promotional code to receive The Stone Prisoner for free (digital purchases will have the code e-mailed to the purchaser). The content will cost $15 to unlock without the promotional code.
Warden's Keep
The Warden's Keep downloadable content adds the fortress of Soldier's Peak to Dragon Age: Origins, granting the player the opportunity to understand why the Grey Wardens were exiled from Ferelden. The player can set up a base of operations with an area to store party members' surplus equipment. New talents, spells, achievements and items are also unlocked with the purchase. Warden's Keep is available as a paid download for $7.
Blood Dragon Armor
The Blood Dragon Armor downloadable content will provide access to a unique set of armor that will be accessible in both Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. The code for this product will be shipped along with every new retail copy of the game and will be e-mailed to people who purchased digital versions. The code will work across all platforms, meaning players can buy Dragon Age: Origins for the PC but use the code for the Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 2 or vice versa.
Return to Ostagar
This new downloadable content pack, titled Return to Ostagar, was announced on November 19, 2009. It will be released in the 2009 holiday season. The player is tasked with returning to the ruins of Ostagar after the great battle. Players are tasked with retrieving the dead King's enchanted armor, and can additionally pick up a large side quest in order to find out more about Duncan.
Metacritic Scores:
91% (PC)
88% (PS3)
87% (X360)
Game Informer Score:
9/10
GameSpot Score:
9.5/10
While the game has received positive reviews on all systems, the PC is far superior to the console versions (as is expected). It has better graphics, tactics, tactical bar, top down view, mods (awesome), and overall better controls.

Dragon Age is absolutely amazing. It has a very good story, interesting characters, combat is well done, and it's a blast to play. Every choice you make affects something else in some way or another, and no two play throughs are the same. No moral compass to guide you, child sacrifices, transvestite elves, cross-dressing dwarves, it has something for everyone.

Wow, that's all you're really putting into the OP of this?
Wow, that's all you're really putting into the OP of this?
Most of the people who posted in the last thread know all about it anyway.
You beat me to it. For some reason I get a 404 everytime I try to make a thread.
Ugh, I can't make posts when I copy/paste with it, so I'll get my OP for you to update yours with when I get home.

Sounds good
Who needs DLC for armor when you have the toolset at your disposal?

At what level could I attempt to kill [sp]Flemeth[/sp]?

*armor*
Yeah, but don't forget the DLC adds more and is only what, $5?
At what level could I attempt to kill [sp]Flemeth[/sp]?
Any, it's scaled.
Good V2 better than what I had planned.
Yeah, but don't forget the DLC adds more and is only what, $5?
AFAIK it's closer to $15
AFAIK it's closer to $15
Nope, it's $5, but still not worth it IMO. There's already 3 mods on nexus that add the kings armor, one adds a custom sword and helmet as well.
-snip-
You did not give me any helpful information.
You simply gave me a half-assed poor attempt at trolling.
No, I gave you the answer. Don't want it, fine.

Who else believes that the Templar Ser Otto was the most badass man you've ever met?
I dislike it when the OP of a "megathread" doesn't even add a link to the official website..
Any, it's scaled.
In that case, what's your advice?
In that case, what's your advice?
Wynn, Morrigan with cone of cold (if you're not mage), allister and/or shale. Taunt on tank so Flemeth keeps on that. Wynn constant healing tank whilst you/morrigan casts cone of cold as much as possible. Repeat.
