Been waiting for this game to come out for a while now, and it finally did a couple days ago. Got my hands on it today, and no matter what I do, it refuses to run.
I don't have admin privileges, but I can install most things. Can't install .net framework, though. Went on my dads account (he put in his password for me), and so I tried installing .net framework manually from the actualy terraria folder. It was installing, then it just suddenly said "Installation failed". Then, I blue screened. Fuck.
Any idea at all? I made a thread like this for a similar problem I had with magicka, that I still haven't solved, because I was told to "google it first" or "post in the Magicka megathread about it", and got like a 12 hour ban.
I've tried google, no success. And I also don't think there's even a Terraria thread. And if there was, I'd probably be ignored and my request would be forgotten. Making a separate thread for this doesn't clog much at all and is just generally more convenient for me in getting a response fast.
If, for some reason, this thread is a problem, for fucks sake, WARN me before banning me for 12 hours. It's really frustrating.

bluescreens mean your hardware is failing, your computer is old + shit so you should probably buy a new one. hope this helps!

also temp bans ARE the warnings (before you get permabanned)
Get your Dad to run Windows Update, (.NET Frameworks are required updates) then install the included XNA Framework.
Get your dad to install .net and xna, since he probably knows more about computers than you do.
Did you even -try- to look for the Terraria Megathread?
