People tell me ingame that everyone hacks a bit, that's why everyone is so awesome AND IRL i've been told there are lots of hackers.
So I guess they just get a frozen sv_cheats number with things like cheat engine and type in "showmodels" so they see you coming and thus have the upper hand.
Is this true or just whining people who get owned? Because I just believe the people who play are mostly pretty good and there are many pros.. ;)
Im pretty sure it is just whining people getting owned, cause I whine a lot if I get head shotted through a wall with a awp :U
Not really. IMO the majority of players, whether they hack or not, suck anyways.

Most/All of them are wallhacking and its hard to know cause they always lie.
I know for a fact that most good people with like 14/3 kd ratios are hacking. Just spectate them, they will seem to follow people through walls. Thats also why you get corner sniped a lot.
I don't think it's a whole lot. Especially compared to MW2. And all of them will most likely be banned by VAC, so there's nothing to worry about.
Back in my CSS days i saw a hacker every 3-4 servers. I usually played on VAC servers, they're rare there.
Though i stopped playing CSS when i got tired of "ONE SHOT KILL AWP HARHARR".
I stopped playing CSS when it just got stupid, e.g. constantly dying with 0 kills in less than 5 seconds. It just got stupid eventually, I stopped playing about a year or two before TF2 was released.

If you're dying 5 seconds into a round either you really suck or you're playing on a shit map.
I get owned sometimes, good (kinda) to know that i'm not alone. I also like that mw is taking things from cs:s.. gungame :D
Actually, MW2 is the hacker's paradise. CS:S has little to no hacking now. All the servers I go to have a lot of traffic, and I haven't seen a hacker for about two years.

Hackers are pretty rare. If there is one, he will be obvious. You see him spins like the Tasmania devil and run really fast killing everyone he meets.

There's really not a lot of hackers in CS:S, just people who play way too goddamn much.
There is a hacking culture. A majority don't, but the community is still so big it seems like there's a lot more than there actually is. Play Zombie Escape or a custom gamemode and you won't notice though.
There is nearly zero hacking on the legal version.
It's very hard to know who's hacking or not because some people are just too damn good.
Although what I truly hate are the people who are blatantly standing at spawn and sniping people through the entire fucking map, yet no one believes that he's cheating.
Well, there are some materials that enable the walls to be transparent and such, which is undetectable, although it could be stopped with a server with sv_pure on.

You can't snipe through the map, you'd have to be modifying stuff serverside, which is impossible to do with stuff ran on your machine.

I think he means de_Dust2 where if the Ts spend more than 5 seconds choosing weapons, a Ct is going to get a clear shot at them.

I've encountered 2 hackers in the past same amount of days, before that, none in quite a few years.
People get called for hacks all the time, but a lot of people are really just that good. 60% of the hackers you see will (A. Be very obvious, or (B. Admit they are hacking at the first accusation. But really most are very good players and are not hacking.
