So i was planing to go to minecon this year since it was in the US and close to where i live. I waited for the tickets to come out then :/
they decided to release the tickets in 3 batches in 3 days 2500 tickets in each batch. the tickets were $150 (a little over price) so to get to the point of this thread im making i waited 1 hour before they released the tickets and waited and waited then i tried to get a ticket but when i tried like 2 mins after the first batch was released THEY WERE SOLD OUT. and that happend for the rest of the batches for me. Also the tickets were released at random times. i just think this is weird that they would do this this year when i heard the years before they didnt do this. i have no idea why they did this this year.
Don't go to minecon, There's not enough content in vinilla minecraft to warrant going and its not like mod developers have there own booths there either, it will just be a bunch of kids playing minecraft so a shitty lan party.

It was actually pretty fun last year. There were some pretty interesting panels. :v:
they also gve you the 2013 cape! plus i cant go cause the tickets SOLD OUT in 2 mins

Mojang also allows indies to have panels at MineCon, so it's not 100% Minecraft.

There are hundreds of other conventions that have a whole lot more for a whole lot less (ticket price wise).

Also meeting CaptainSparklez would be great(as well a HaatFilms) because in my opinion they are the only good Minecraft let'splayers and community contributors.

the interesting panel was more like a funny panel. I didn't go, but I watched the Q&A where the devs just sit there stuttering or trying to comprehend the dumb questions that people of all ages had which were pretty much basic questions or suggestions about the game. everyone asking (and answering) the questions was unbelievably nervous
