Spider-Man: Shattered dimensions is, in my opinion, the first good Spider-Man game in several years. It starts when Mysterio tries to rob a museum until, predictably, Spider-Man shows up and tries to stop him. In the fight, a powerful artifact called the tablet of order and chaos gets shattered across different dimensions, which may cause reality to collapse or some shit, I don't know. Then Madame Web recruits Spider-men from each dimension to hunt down the pieces of the tablet before super-villains get their hands on them (which they do of course). So basically, the plot makes no sense whatsoever. But the point is that you can play as four different Spider-men from four different comic book universes, all of whom are voiced by different people who have been Spider-Man in the past. First, there's the already well-known Amazing universe. It has Neil Patrick Harris from Spider-Man: The New Animated Series. He mostly uses web based attacks. Then there's Noir Spider-Man, which is basically Spider-Man set in 1933. It also differs from the others in that it has more of a focus on stealth. Noir Spider-Man is voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes of Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Here we have Spider-Man 2099, which is pretty self-explanatory. In this reality, Spider-Man is a geneticist named Miguel O'Hara instead of a future Peter Parker. He is voiced by Dan Gilvezan of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Combat is fast paced and brutal. He is voiced by Josh Keaton from Spectacular Spider-Man. He uses symbiote tendrils to attack enemies. So basically if you're a Spider-Man fan who is sick of Spidey getting abused in video games, you may want to check this out.
i'm not sure what to make of this. [editline]03:10AM[/editline] noir spiderman looks boss as fuck.
I've never been a fan of superhero games, but this actually looks like it might be good instead of the usual crap.
i like the third spiderman looks like a baddass
great game, i'm on the last act and this game has surprised me cause how good it actually is. very cool game.
I tried it for the Wii and I didn`t like the controls. Im gonna wait for the PC release.
I really hope the game controls well on the PC, though it doesn't seem like the sort of thing that would.
I loved the Spider-man 2 game, and the Ultimate Spider-man game was pretty good as well, so hopefully this is good.
Holy shit this thread died fast. I didn't realize people cared this little about it. Ah well.
I am getting this for my little brother. I hope I get a chance to try it out too!
I haven't played this but it looks pretty mediocre. The transition from ground to wall makes the camera spazz out and the gameplay is extremely repetitive so I've heard.

It's not free roam, just so people know. But it's no less fun for it.
It's not free roam, just so people know. But it's no less fun for it.
PS1 Spiderman was linear and look how much fun that was. Ultimate spider-man is a pussy. Bring on spider-ham or powerless spider-man.
They were out of creativity when they created the last universe.
They were out of creativity when they created the last universe.
You do know that they didn't create these universes, right? On a side note, I wonder if it's possible to have a Spider-Man game where no one says "I'll squash you like a bug".
This game was incredible, unfortunately because it copied almost everything from Batman: Arkham Asylum. But, it actually did it right, unlike so many other games that take ideas from other games, this one only took the right ideas, and improved the boss battles a lot. I just wish it didn't copied so much from Batman AA, I was like "Well, at least they didn't copy Scarecrow..." and then I reached [sp]Mysterio[/sp], I mean, damn, you don't have to copy everything. Oh yeah, I think [sp]Deadpool's[/sp] level is the best one.
Deadpool is in this game !

I saw this the other day but I wasn't sure whether it'd be worth it or not. Noir Spidey looks badass though.
I really like how the art style changes radically in each universe. Really gives each one it's own character. Gonna have to look into this game.
I think this was most obvious during the noir levels and whenever you were forced to walk with an over-the-shoulder view.
Oh yes, forgot about the over-the-shoulder view. Damn, another one to add to the list. They done a good job of making it badass and using it on the right time though.
Second Spiderman looks awfully Bioshock. I'll call him, Big Spidey.
although the noir part of this game may seem like an arkham asylum rip off, it does have its own character and feels like its own game, and has just as good stealth as arkham asylum. i don't see why people can bitch about ultimate, hes hilarious and has the best levels.
2099 has to be my favorite. He's just amazingly badass. I like how this one isn't all kiddy, it does it like it should, where it's both gritty and fun. I mean hell, one of the villains is a cannibal.

I mean, seriously, look at how brutally he hits the goblin when he's on the ground (for the ones who don't know, he throw him on the ground and beat the shit out of him with good ol' foot-to-face hits)...
Also he had the best voice IMO.
Deadpool is in this game !
Yup, in the Ultimate universe. He's like this crime boss guy in the Ultimate universe.
add this to OP: amazing spider-man is web based combat (web hammers, hell yeah) noir spidey is stealth (durr) 2099 is high speed, close up fighting ultimate spiderman, i dont know. maybe similar to his game. on topic, this looks cool. may get.
The combat in the noir levels felt really good after all of the stealth.
