Here we go again. Yes it is. Even more if you have powerful PC, because you can get most of exclusive games.

If you like the games on it and if you're a multimedia gamer, then yes.

Flame War Incoming PS3 is good as the guy above said, if you are a multimedia gamer it is for you, and it has free online gaming. But I still prefer Xbox 360 :smug:

PS3 doesn't have Halo. :smug: It still has nice graphics, though. The only reason (Other than the aforementioned) that I don't have one is because I already have an Xbox which suits my needs just fine.

Guys, he asks for PS3, not for Xbox so answers like Yes/No and why please. PS3 is worth buying but if you would play shooters then it could be little hard to play but some time and you can play it easily.

More / Better exclusives (Depends what OP's game choice is), Free online (Don't have to buy gold to browse the internet as well). Generally a multi-media and good all around console.

Yes, i have it and its fun, new titles are popping out all the time it seems, i have never regretted my purchase!

Yes the PS3 is worth buying. I love mine. I've got the 250GB and I put ALL my songs on it (about 5000) and it's an amazing entertainment center. It plays all forms of media from CD to DVD to Blu-Ray, you can't go wrong.

What would you like in it that would justify it for you? That's the important question. Clearly you already have an interest, so I'll go ahead and say "yes".

If you don't have a bluray player and a 360, yes.

I really hate when people look at it like its some superfluous device that has no use at all. Obviously its worth buying if Sony is still in business making consoles. It has a GREAT list of exclusive games plus a bluray player too. Don't talk about it like you're saying "is it WORTH buying an 8th xbox."

if you like to play online, get a ps3. live memberships are WAY expensive, and they only go to one account, not the entire xbox. i own both actually. but i play online ALL THE TIME, so if there is a ps3 version of a game, i pick that one up. the PS3 has a bucketload of ps3 exclusives, like littlebigplanet, which was the reason why we picked up a ps3 in the first place. it really depends on your style. if you play M games and shooters all the time i would go with the 360. i think it has the most shooters. but then there is the online issue. ps3 has quite a few more family games and free online...

Also take note that some amazing exclusives are out next year such as; The Last Guardian, Infamous 2, Twisted Metal, Resistance 3, Yakuza 4 and MotorStorm: Apocalypse.

Any console if worth buying if it has the games you wish to play.

Yes it is. There are some great exclusives on it and it's a really nice casual gaming system.

The PS3 is better. This is fact. However, if you have friends that don't rage when playing almost any game, unlike me, then you'll probably want an Xbox.
