No, I didn't just come across this mod. I'm just posting this classic mod to give those guys who haven't played it yet a chance to experience the epic storyline and non-violent game play of scientist slaughter house :smug:
About:
In the world of scientist slaughter house you do one thing and one thing only : Kill Scientists. That's right, if it wasn't obvious enough this is the entire point of the mod. Kill them with the many weapons at your disposal like the flamethrower or head chopping sword. If your weapons prove to be too boring you have a bunch of traps and enemies to use as you watch each and every scientist die.
Storyline:
You are Gordon Freeman (Durr) an agent for the Nephilim Alliance. You live in a world where scientists have overrun and infested your way of living. You are sent on a mission to stop the scientist infestation any way you can.
Why In Gods Name Should You Play This?:
It's a great stress reliever and you get to vent out all your rage on any scientist that comes in your way. You have a butt load of weapons and each one has three firing modes, so obviously nothing stands in your way. The scientists also respawn constantly so you can always stay in the same place and murder them over and over again until it gets boring, then move to the next.
This Is So Boring Compared To SSH: Mod Mishaps
Yeah well this is the classic version of it so it may not be as fun as the lulz randomness of that mod. Please note I didn't say that mod is bad I'm just saying it's different. Don't you dare make assumptions.

Since pictures do say a thousand words, videos say even more. Here's a video from our very own postal that he made a long time ago

You should be able to find everything you need on the MODDB pa- er, excuse me, RECREATION of the moddb page of the mod. It's not well put together but it puts everything you need in the same place.

I am Roll_Program and this was a fun mod.
Why can't this thing run tfc.wad? I put it everywhere I can. I left it in its tfc folder, the valve folder, and out in the main directory. What can I do?
I'm sure if you made kleiner slaughter maps and put them in smod it could KIND of be like the mod.
Hands down the best HL1 fun mod ever made. I still play it from time to time. I'd say there is no source version, but gmod comes pretty close.
Also, it has a working gmod style physics gun, or more accurately, gmod has a SSH style repulsion cannon.
Some screenshots I took last year while playing. It's good fun, if not a bit unstable at times;

I never actually finished it... Did they actually mess with the ENTIRE game? Hope so :P
The above is scientist slaughter house WTF Mod mishaps version.
This is the ORIGINAL
Oh, my mistake. Didn't realize the difference...
It's a common mistake. This one has it's own custom campaign
[editline]01:21AM[/editline]
And doesn't look like you're tripping balls
The screenshots make it look like a 'rube goldberg' simulator... That sort of what it's like? Creating situations and traps in which the scientists eventually lead themselves to their own collective dooms?
Not exactly. The maps are premade with traps and shit, you just have to activate them.
There are so many traps and weapons it's unbelieveable.
There are assassin zombies, airstrikes, helicopters, ufo's, decapitating swords, uber snipers, you name it.

It's too big and maze-y for my tastes. I keep going around in circles.
I remember watching videos of this synced to Yakety Sax/Sak in 2006.
i am predatorking and this is a fun mod. :3:
I loved this mod. Playing multiplayer was fun.
All of the weapons are modified alot in this mod. You can select their special abilities with the middle mouse button.
best mod ever
"Invasion of the Gabber Robots" convinced me to redownload this.
The "agent" is the most amazing npc ever. She's pretty much unbeatable.
When i tried playing this, i got an error and it didn't launch, so i uninstalled it. Is it really that fun?

Yes it is.
You are getting an error beacuse you need "tfc.wad" and "tfc2.wad".

She's pretty to look at, but she's also kinda boring. I like a nice, bloody battle with losses on both sides. That's why I use Nslaves and, at most, Ngrunts for my largescale battles.
There's actually multiplayer, y'know, although it's quite unstable.
Tell me how. NOW. Also, provide a link to a server.

Lan VIA hamachi, that's what I uesed.
Scientist Slaughterhouse is one of the best HL1 mods for this time, it's almost as fun as the base game itself.
