Published by: Trion Worlds Release date: sometime in 2011 [release] LE INFORMATION End of Nations™ is a groundbreaking new MMORTS from Petroglyph Games where you fight monumental battles for global control of a massive, persistent world. Join allies from around the world to bring down the oppressive Order of Nations, or take on the opposing faction in epic battles of over 50 players, where one Commander can impact the ongoing conflict and every victory matters. As your skills and tactical experience grow, you will earn and unlock new units, abilities, and super-weapons to build and customize your ultimate army. Gather your forces, plan your attack, and lead the way to global domination. You read that right. In Order of Nations, a single map can have up to fifty players battling in it at the same time. Lagfest? Only the bold and brave can find out once it releases. LE STORY Short version: global economy fails, nations fail, Illuminati-esque organization takes over planet, you fight against totalitarian regime. Long version: Economic disaster on a global scale brought the world's nations to their knees. As the value of printed money plummeted, the means of production and distribution came to a wrenching halt, creating food and energy shortages and mass unemployment around the world. Industrialized nations, for the first time, began to experience hunger and poverty on a scale not seen outside the most stricken third world countries. Governments found themselves no longer able to serve their citizens, or even provide a basic safety net. Rioting and violence erupted in every nation. Mankind was locked in a fight for survival. The future of civilization itself was at risk. Abruptly, a new world power materialized against the chaotic backdrop of global conflict. Established in secret in the decades leading up to the crisis, this group moved swiftly, re-establishing stability and order in country after country. Local military and civilian resistance was easily overwhelmed by the organization's arsenal of frighteningly advanced weapons and technology. Welcomed by many as saviors, the group was quickly granted authority over what remained of the world's governments. This ultimate superpower, dubbed "The Order of Nations," erased national boundaries and national identities, uniting the Earth with the promise of a new peace. But peace came at a price. Wherever the Order of Nations established control, it imposed a tyrannical rule. Dissidents disappeared, or were killed outright. Private property and whole industries were taken over by the new government. Individual rights and freedoms were trampled as The Order established an iron grip on humanity. But The Order of Nations pushed too hard. People everywhere began to openly challenge the government. Armed rebellion was inevitable. Around the globe, the remains of the old world's military and political forces joined together in common cause: to overthrow The Order's totalitarian rule. An exciting real-time strategy game with all the heart-stopping action and compelling strategic gameplay you've come to expect, End of Nations adds selected elements of modern massively multiplayer online games to expand and revolutionize the RTS genre: unparalleled epic scale, an ever-evolving set of missions in a massive persistent world where your actions influence the outcome of global conflict, and robust customization options. Is there a single-player option? Yes, End of Nations offers an extensive and highly detailed campaign that can be played solo or cooperatively with up to 50 other players. The Shadow Revolution is composed of former Order of Nations members who feel that the Order's tyrannical rule has gone too far. HERE HAVE SOME CLASSES Player Versus Environment: Classes Weapons of choice From Alexander’s cavalry, to Napoleon’s cannons, to Patton’s tanks, every great military leader has had a specialty—a unit they relied on above the others. A commander in End of Nations™ follows this tradition by selecting a Commander Class and focusing on one of three play styles. Your Commander Class determines the kind of leader you’ll be, from the skills and tech you learn to the vehicles you deploy. Commanders are advised to take their choice of Commander Class seriously, as the right class will play to your tactical strengths, while the wrong class will leave you chafing. Rolling thunder (or, the class that World of Tanks nerds will pick most. umad nonarmored people?) If your idea of a brilliant strategy involves grinding the enemy down under tons and tons of caterpillar-treaded bad news, report to Tank Commander training. As a Tank Commander, you’ll be the hardest thing to kill since the common cold, leading a force of nigh-unstoppable war machines at the scariest hostiles on the field. While not the most destructive vehicles, tanks can shrug off devastating attacks to complete the toughest missions. As part of a group, you’ll be the first in and last out of combat. A tank is a huge, scary target built to attract and withstand a lot of enemy attention. You can keep their attention with armor-piercing attacks, or distract a powerful enemy with flash-bang shells. An overwhelmed Tank Commander can deploy a smokescreen to escape, but if the tanks do their job, the Artillery and Strike Commanders will tear the enemy to bits long before this is necessary. Strike like lightning (or, the one trolls are most likely to pick using hit and run tactics. umad slow tank people?) If the Tank Commander is the anvil the enemy can’t move, the Strike Commander is the hammer that crushes the pinned-down foe with quick, precise strikes. If you like sleek, fast vehicles, and sudden, vicious bursts of damage, this is the Commander Class for you. Often camouflaged, strike vehicles move quickly across the battlefield to launch ambushes from right under the enemy’s nose. These lighter machines can’t take sustained punishment like a tank, so lone Strike Commanders prefer swift, decisive victories. Strike Commanders wait until their tank allies have the enemy’s attention, then dart in to slice up the enemy’s most vital armaments by making every shot a critical hit. Overeager Strike Commanders can steal enemy focus from the armor, so many strike vehicles come standard with target jamming, scrambling the enemy’s sensors long enough to zoom out of the way. Bring the rain (or, pussies using big ass guns behind enemy lines. umad out of reach people?) Artillery Commanders prefer a room with a view, looking over the battlefield from a safe position and smashing the enemy to bits under a storm of heavy ordnance. Nothing dishes it out quite like the big guns, and Artillery Commanders become experts at judging the ideal bombardment distance. Many enemies are destroyed by lone Artillery Commanders before they get a chance to wonder why the sky is falling. Unfortunately, artillery vehicles can’t take much of a pounding themselves, so a good Tank Commander can be an Artillery Commander’s best friend. Pinned down by allied tanks, hostiles are unable to escape when the Artillery Commander unleashes a biochemical barrage, turning the enemy’s position into a toxic deathtrap. A good Artillery Commander is invaluable to any group. Their Stun Barrage can keep the enemy in place, giving Strike Commanders a clear shot. Observing from a safe distance, Artillery Commanders can judge when a situation goes pear-shaped, and lay down a Smoke Barrage where allies can regroup. How many units can you command at the same time? The trailers and gameplay videos showed, what looked like, a small group. Roughly 5-7 tanks.
Is there going to be diplomacy so you can create alliances and promptly screw them over or is it just every man for himself or set teams.
This looks amazing. I will totally play this as long as my computer can run it.
this seems like a better version of tom clancy's endwar
I want to play this so bad but I'm going to hate it because I absolutely know I'm going to get curb stomped. My strategy is hang back, build up a good defense, then overwhelm with an unstoppable attack
How many units can you command at the same time? The trailers and gameplay videos showed, what looked like, a small group. Roughly 5-7 tanks.
Well, because Petroglyph's claiming that battles will have as many as fifty people at a time I don't imagine you'd be commanding anything bigger than a platoon of tanks. It seems like a heavily team-based game. If you've played World in Conflict it's a bit like that.
Is there going to be diplomacy so you can create alliances and promptly screw them over or is it just every man for himself or set teams.
Dunno, there might be options for both.
I want to play this so bad but I'm going to hate it because I absolutely know I'm going to get curb stomped. You can face off against the NPC faction with a bunch of bros and lay waste to them. Turtles will probably stick with Artillery Commander.
I absolutely fucking loved World in Conflict. That was the mother-load of awesome tank combat. I will keep an eye out for this game then.
Looks promising
I remember this. Can't wait.
This sounds like a sci-fi version of world in conflict on way larger scale. Artillery class here i come.
Oh my god OP you are useless at French!!!!! It should be LES information, not LE information, because there's more than one information! GAWD
Looks like Starcraft with more tanks.
Starcraft looks like C&C with more sci fi
I hope you're not forced to have red tanks, because honestly id rather just have a grey tank/chopper
Oh my god OP you are useless at French!!!!! It should be LES information, not LE information, because there's more than one information! GAWD
Don't tell me how to speak French, I graduated from high school with a quarter of a class completed under my belt. Now you've made me le sad :(
Looks like Starcraft with more tanks.
Needs more aliens before it even remotely looks like Starcraft.
Needs more aliens before it even remotely looks like Starcraft.
It needs more tanks before it even remotely looks like a good C&C game, which is what we really want it to look like. Sadly, I don't really have much hope in Petroglyph. Especially as of late.
i kinda liked Rise of Nations, I think I may get this wait they aren't related still this looks fucking awesome
