Portal: Awakening is an Modification that happens after Portal but before Portal 2, its supposed to explain Portal 2 in a fanmade way by using info from Wikia.

Does there NEED to be an explanation for what happens between 1 and 2? She was put into stasis at the end of 1 and then nothing until 2. The changes for the facility are retconning so the explanation for them is "They were always like that"

I must say the guy who made the trailer did a very bad job, effects are plain and the overall quality is bad.
It aint that hard to use the Source Recorder to make stunning HD video's.
Even I can do that :S

I see A LOT of mapping mistakes from that trailer, a prime example would be that you decals SHOULD NEVER be on a portal-placeable wall.

just so you know, it wasn't even close to my best, It was made in little over a day to record everything real fast and edit it real fast, and the next video will be in HD or at least 720 HD

that is probably the only thing you saw, and yes you SHOULD have a decal on a portal-placeable wall to break up repetitiveness in textures, valve does it in the original portal, and these maps a decaying so there will be lots of damage.
