Is playing COD: MW worth it if I've already played through MW2?

At this point I've already played through MW2 twice. I love that game.
Is it worth buying then playing the first Modern Warfare though? Would I be disappointed by the graphics (since MW2 made a lot of engine improvements apparently)? Would I be disappointed by the storyline?
Just looking for a quick answer before I decide how I want to waste my Saturday. :)
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm just referring to the singleplayer campaign experience. I don't like playing multiplayer in MW2 and I'm only planning on buying MW for an interesting and fun campaign.
EDIT2: Why am I being rated funny?
EDIT3: Oh nevermind I see why. This is what happens when you're running on <2 hours of sleep. :|
Yes, MW was a great game. No harm in playing it, online was much more balanced too. They also had some of the best weapon choices imo.
Yes, MW > MW2
Modern Warfare was amazing. The storyline was just as good as MW2.

Juggernaut erryday
Modern warfare was great. Especially the first marines mission. Awesome helicopter invasion.
I'm like 5th prestige on MW2, but I enjoy playing CoD4 so much more.
I play MW2 mainly just for friends.
Lots of players still play MW1. I recommend hardcore if Juggernaut annoys you.

Forgot to mention that I only play COD for the singleplayer campaign experience. I'm more of a fan of single-player games like Half-Life 1/2 and MW2.
PC -> Promod -> Excellent experience.

I liked MW2's campaign better, but the multiplayer is just so much better on CoD4.
CoD4 singleplayer will be an upgrade from MW2. That's the opinion from most people, including me.
Yeah I preferred the campaign in MW1 a little more.
Online = Cod4
Single Player = MW2
Didn't really like the single player, so thats how I play them.
So basically half of the people prefer the MW1 campaign over the MW2 campaign, and half prefer the MW2 campaign over the MW1 campaign. Looks like I'll have to see for myself! It's downloading now.
MW's campaign wasn't so cheesy and absurd, so yeah, play it.
IMO when playing the multiplayer after playing the MW2 multiplayer it felt kind of lacking though I do love CoD4 and it was more balanced. I prefered the singleplayer though so for your purposes CoD4 is a good choice. I would think that if the community is so split on this both must be good.

Modern Warfare was definetly more fun the MW2. I've replayed the SP a lot more. It's one of my favorites to go through because of the slow mo. Collect the intel.

I am P3N15M4N and I approve this message.
For me, I went down the same road you did. I had CoD4 but couldn't get into the story at first and ended up beating MW2's story first.
But I went back and forced myself to play CoD4's story, and after the slightly slow beginning, it was really quite good. The story itself is MUCH better, and quite fun to play through.
Plus the multiplayer is quite good. I still play it frequently. Go for it.

There are many reasons people don't like Call of Duty...
Being "too slow" is not one I can say I've ever heard before.

23 minutes left on its download. I'm hyped!

I always pretend I'm in a movie or something.
Promod is retarded imo
Campaign much better in turns of delivery as well
Three words: Collect the intel. It unlocks awesome cheats like slow motion and infinite ammo.
And even if you don't care for that stuff, the game is just very well done in general.
As a whole, MW1 is a much better game than MW2.
Collect the intel in MW2 ohwait
MW1 is a lot better than MW2. Play it and you will understand.

CoD4 was leagues better than MW2.
I don't know why everyone hopped over there when there is absolutely nothing better about it.
One the plus side, the CoD4 community right now has a lot less campers than it used to. :v:
