Sadly never finished my EVE mod, too much work for 1 man.
Aw, doesn't look like there's any mods that add anything from Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, or any other series.
Oh well, I should probably play the game itself first before venturing into that territory.
The modding community is too small to really make complete remakes like that i'm afraid. I've never found a mod truly worth sticking with, but i have my own minimod with tweaks i personally use. Colonizers with higher population, higher fleet size limits, more effective fighters/drones, mothership class super-ship to break those darned stalemates that may pop up in the late game etc.

Don't play with more than 1 friend, otherwise it's almost impossible to organize the continuation later. That's what i learned anyway. If the others don't mind, i suppose you could play whenever you wanted, and just make them take over one of the AI civilizations later. I hate taking control of AI civs though, their ship designs are weird.

Holy shit that looks awesome, did you do that yourself? if not, link. Because as good as ACM is, the author is silly on his head and thought it'd look good to mix steampunk with space.

Yes i did that myself. I got a handful of ships fully implemented, with turrets and matching stats. As i said, i never finished it.
It looks fucking epic.

The little dot below the ship in the middle on the screenshot above, is a ship the size of a vanilla frigate. The engine handles large ships quite well, though you have to edit draw range. I imported the titan directly from EVE, and i couldn't even fit the whole thing to the screen before it faded away... Was amazing once i fixed that though. Infact, im quite tempted to start again on it, but i don't have EVE installed, and i really can't be bothered to get it just for the models, damn.
