• Xbox 360's video stopped working.

Last night i was playing Halo:Reach when the contrast went apeshit and the colours were messed up. I checked my TV settings and they were unchanged so i turned my Xbox off and then back on. It turned on but there was only sound, no video. I unplugged the component cables, checked to see if anything was broken and it looked perfect, still nothing. I tried using just the yellow cord and that failed, so did using other video-in channels on my TV. I'm wondering if my Xbox broke or the cable just died.
The same thing happened to me in 2008. You have to get a new Xbox, something died inside of it.
Call support, they know what to do
I got the E74 from this I just presumed it was the game going funny then one day it just red ringed.
That may be E-74. It happened to my Xbox and they extended the warranty for it.
Well shit, anyways if i do get a new xbox should I just get an arcade or go for a Slim? I will phone support and i don't know why I haven't thought of that yet. Not sure if it is E-74 because i can hear the menu moving and there is no red quarter ring just the controller light.
Call support, they know what to do
The most I ever got was an Indian guy telling me to purchase a new one. That was about a year before I bought a PS3 :colbert:
It's not E74. I had this issue back in mid 2007. Occasionally the GPU will just die or something like that. Xbox support guided me through resetting video settings over the phone, which fixed it for about a day, then it just wouldn't work at all. I eventually had to send it in for repairs. Came back a week later and it's still fine. [editline]17th October 2010[/editline] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_technical_problems#Video_failure here it is....
If you send it in I doubt they're going to give you a slim for free.
If you send it in I doubt they're going to give you a slim for free.
I meant if i should buy a slim since there is a slim chance of them fixing it for free.

You can reset the video settings let me find a guide for you. Can't find it. Ask H&S.
Well fuck me sideways, none of that stuff worked , video resetting did nothing, i plugged everything in right it is on the right TV/HDTV setting, i tried a different cable, a different TV, nothing. Changing TVs made the sound go away and it made a little flicker. I'm guessing my best bet would be to send it in since I don't trust the towel trick and taking apart my Xbox will result in me not knowing how to put it back together.
Well fuck me sideways
That can be arranged.
Some indian guy named "charles" will tell you to check your router, 10 bucks.

Then again it is a shitty arcade, I should probably buy a new one. And a hard-drive, using a memory card is completely useless. Goddamn cheap bundles full of crap.
