I've barely started playing, just got to Primm. Head concussion, out of stimpaks and water, npc's are shooting me from a mile away in the face.

You will get a cookie, when you use it, it refills your health.

100pt achievement. More importantly, this game is too easy, even with Hardcore mode on and it on the highest difficulty. I shudder to think the pushover I would be dealing with were I playing it like normal.
I think Hardcore mode should have been the default mode to begin with. I heard it's way too easy and it pretty much adds to the experience of Fallout: New Vegas; though, the reward is subpar, but you shouldn't even be playing for the reward. You should be playing for the game.
The health levels are too damn high, Downloading the FPS mod that lowers EVERYTHING'S health makes it so much easier to play it like a FPS.
Newsflash, vanilla hardcore mode is easy.
