PS3 - 4 player games: Where did the good ones go? Help! - Games

So I am looking for 4 player PS3 games I can play with my friends. As I can see there is a whole lot less 4 player games on PS3 then the PS2. So, I ask you all to suggest some 4 player games. I really want some others (Beside COD.) Also can I have a link for cheap PS3 controllers? I really don't want to spend $60 USD a piece. Thanks guys. :love:

Rock Band is awesome, but I very much doubt you'll want to buy the instruments if you don't want to spend money on controllers.

I think Little Big Planet allows 4 player split-screen.

The main reason to why I have a console is to play games with my friends, in the same couch. Unfortunately games nowadays seem to never include split-screen, even though there are lots of opportunities to add it. Assassin's Creed split-screen, anyone?

Oh, man. I loved the age of splitscreen. So many hours spent exploring the map with my sister, searching for secrets and humorous bonuses. Jetpack races on Kamino in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, anyone?

I never liked split screen, people would always cheat and look at my bit of the screen and vice versa. I always hated sharing the screen with someone else, got in the way of my view too much. Split screen is less popular because you have stuff like internet, Xbox Live, PSN, and such and such. Everyone can have a whole screen instead of half a screen.

Castle Crashers (Out in US, not in EU) is awesome fun 4 player. Little big planet is good too, and i assume the 2nd will be. FPS games and split screen are terrible however, unless you want people to know where you are all the time, and what weapons you have, and when youre aiming at them.

I really miss it. All of my friends have other consoles/other games. I haven't been able to play with my best friend on PS3 because of the lack of splitscreen.

I hate games with splitscreen which makes it almost unplayable. Example : Verticalally divided splitscreen and CoD:WaW's stupid Splitscreen

Warhawk. It's an awesome third person version of Battlefield.

LittleBigPlanet is a great co-op game even if it's not a FPS. To bad it's hard to find non-shit community levels to play, But I guess LBP2 is going to fix that with that news feed about the best levels.

Little Big Planet, I cannot find any better game to play with friend. Shark Survival so immensely hilarious.

As others have said, Warhawk and LBP are great fun but there's also Motorstorm: Pacific Rift if you're into racing, the game can get quite funny if you have 2 monster trucks vs 2 bikes.

Warhawk reminds me of a Starwars Battlefront and Battlefield (Before badcompany) hybrid. And I love both those games. I will probably buy that. LBP possibly. And MW2 yeah, even know I don't like it as much as everyone else does.

I wish more games came out like Halo split screen, where you can actually play online with 4 friends on the same tv.
