The Rock Band 2000 Song Marathon Idea (For Charity)

Yesterday, me and a friend (Both of us are 16) were just sat doing nothing when we thought of this idea. We remembered how Rock Band 3 is supposed to coming out soonish, and how aparently with the new setlist it's supposed to have 2000 songs playable (with DLC, RB1-2 Greenday and Beatles). We thought we could in a group of 4 to 6 people, play every single one of these songs for the Charity Child's Play (which is where everyone donates to and is in general, a good cause for the money to go to). We're each alright at the music games and such, not the best but able to do well in Expert.
It would be done much like the Mario Marathons, where we just go through all the songs, and people can donate whenever.
However there is a problem.
With Rock Band DLC's you obviously need to pay, so this brings two choices.
1. We get people to donate Microsoft points if they want as well as money. However we would need an incredible about of microsoft points (like 200,000, which is a large problem in itself).
2. We get promoted enough to get harmonix to spot us and support us in our cause and give us the songs to use during the marathon (which seems incredibly unlikely).
I mean if worst comes to worst, we'll play like 300 odd songs from across the game, but we would like to be able to play every single one of the 2000 songs on the setlist non stop and stream it online whilst getting donations. And do this for like 6 days non stop, whilst tagging in and out. We hope to have at LEAST 2 people playing at all times, and when it comes to the new Rock Band 3 songs to use the keyboard.
This thread is mainly to see if you (Facepunch) this it is a good idea. If you hate it we won't do it, and if it goes ahead use it as the "Official" thread for it.
Oh and don't cry about Rock Band, it's all for a good cause :v:.
Assuming the average song length is 4 minutes it would take 5.5 days to blow through all of these. Sounds like a good idea, and I'd donate if you guys actually went through with this. No pussying out because you get bored though.
i think you'd need a bit more than 6 people

We imagined it would take like 6-7 days to get through it because of actually passing the songs. And god no, we wouldn't quit cause we got bored. If it's for a good cause we would definately carry on till we finished.
Beatles isn't exportable to RB3, so you couldn't play the songs in RB3.

The 6 people were gonna be a "Base" and if we REALLY needed that extra help we would get guest players in to play for a few hours with us, and yeah sure we could play a few songs with people.

That's alright we can just play it from the game itself.

Oh yeah, that's right. It also takes loading times and all.
Ok yeah it'll take a week.
We would do it like this - Rock Band 1, Rock Band 2, Rock Band 3, The disc based expansions, the Beatles DLC then the Main Rock Band's DLC (assuming we somehow acquire it all :v:). If we can't we'll just do all the disc based songs, and then if we get any Microsoft points from some people we will take requests for songs to buy and play.
Assuming each song is 5 minutes long, on average, this would take 167 hours - without the loading time or any of that, or 7 days straight. Doesn't seem like something you're capable of organizing.

Plus downloading them all will be difficult.

I know that it would take this long, and why do you think I am not capable of organising it?

I did say about this in the OP.
I remember people did this when Rock Band hit the 1000 song mark for DLC.
Seems like a good idea, hopefully you can get the songs and people needed to do this!
You are gonna need around 12-16 people for this type of thing. If you play rock band for too long it does a lot of crazy things to your eyes.

If we made the "Main" group who were going to play to a group of 6 definately I think we would be okay, because I plan on having other people which we each know coming over and playing for an hour even if they suck, partaking as "Guests"
