Metacritic Ranked: Best and Worst Horror Videogames. V. Plants Vs. Zombies - Games

I can't see a single trace of Silent Hill or Penumbra/Amnesia in the midst of all that Castlevania, Left 4 Dead, and Bioshock. Seriously, look at this shit. Best "rated" "horror" games by console. Almost the entire list is comprised of ACTION games that don't even have the word "horror" in their actual category. The only thing I find horrifying out of all this is that they can get away with calling "PLANTS VS ZOMBIES" a horror game. Are they on crack or am I over reacting? There is a voting panel also, I voted Silent Hill, because that is a truly horror game. What are your thoughts facepunch? Am I right in saying this is garbage, or am I really over reacting?

Agree with the Xbox's. EDIT: Although Plants vs Zombies isn't scary.

Bioshock, PvZ, and Demon's Souls as horror games? Really?

I'd say BioShock is a horror game, but not mainly.

Looks like their definition of "horror" is "it has zombies or monsters in it".

Resident Evil 4 and 5? Come on, those are action games, not horror. And PvZ? I only see Silent Hill, Dead Space too for some people.

These are no damn horror games. Amnesia and Silent Hill 2 are.

It's a well known fact that metacritic is pretty shit for anything dealing with scores. In it's current state it'd be more useful as a guide to cooking indigenous Malaysian cuisine.

Plants vs. Zombies made me cry :(

Not a single one of the games listed are scary. Not a single one. Well SH might be, haven't played that one so I can't say.

EA instead of Valve on L4D2, L4D series is not scary in the least.

Amnesia & Penumbra should hold the titles of number 1, 2 and 3. All those "horror" games presented there are utter horseshit.

Amnesia, Penumbra =/= Console games.
