Simple... How do you think the world will be if all stuff you could imagine were free
This is to all the people who wish alot of games were free and they rage cause they aren't :downs:
Everyone would be bankrupt.
Enough said.
Cool until people stop making stuff cause they get nothing in return.

And then people would hoard shit.
It would be great for everything that isn't creatively designed.
Of course, some artists prefer recognition over profit anyway. I bet there would be a lot fewer artists, but the general quality of certain kinds of art (games, movies) would improve vastly when people stand to gain no profit, only recognition for what they do.
We'd be as rich as Japan.
Like.. now heres an example.. If minecraft were free... How would you imagine that?
What if Robots made everything o.o And we all got fat. And...okay.
This is the dumbest question I have ever heard

why would you rage over that
Out of Stock.
Day 0: Everybody takes what's possible to take
Day 10: Out of stock, no more production, people start to steal
Day 20: chaos.

Doesn't sound too far from how it is now.
There would be no things to be free. End of story.
With the current capitalistic mindset people have been grown up with? Nigh impossible. However, with a yet-to-be-developed governing system (not communism) it might be a possibility.
People could no longer be greedy about money so instead they would be greedy about possessions/food/anything else worth any value.
People will always find something worth stabbing you in the face for. Be it money, food, or just because you looked at them funny.
If I could download a car, then we'd really be onto something.
People can choose if their game will be free, you know by "linux distributing" it. Or they can actually support the game dev's with money (that they also deserve for making a game that is enjoyable).

Everything would fall to shit.

fixed
Bobby Kotick would get a heart attack.
If games became free, there would be no more AAA quality games because these require quite some effort and a professional team. And professionals work for money, not fame.
Although a good game or two might pop, but sure it won't happen often at all, enjoy playing 2d flash games or half-assed ps1 visual 3d ones.
People who make stuff for fame later want that fame to convert into paid job.
Although game quality now isn't the best, it would only become worse.
If one field becomes 100% free, it would be deserted because all professionals would switch to another field where they get paid. And we all know that hobbyists aren't good at creating full games.
If everything became free a new World War would start to fight over resources
Well done OP.
OP is not old enough to get a job and can't find his moms credit card anymore.
If we could eliminate the need for resources the issue would become about living space.
If all the stuff in the world is free, then there will be no more stuff in the world.
Nobody works for free.
Fast Threads.

Bobby Kotick is a very generous man, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
If every single thing was free and infinite then the world would be a way better place.
Why would someone even try to steal a car when he can get 15 for free.
Not like this will ever happen :frown:
