The reviews for fallout new vegas are out, so you can read them and decide whether you want to buy it or not. Heres one i read.

This first impression does a lot better job at reviewing the game than the "reviews".
Don't trust critics, or at least GameSpot, they're biased shits. They've already had the Fallout advert up maybe a month or so, get ready for 10.0 and love over some crappy feature. I wanna see what the player reviews say.
Nothing wrong with IGN. Its not biased, it sounds true, and im confident that i can make a decision from it. As for the extra thread, it would be more benefitial as a separate thread as not everyone has the patience to constantly check a thread for replies. Reviews are helpful because they can help to decide whether or not to get a game. If it weren`t for reviews i would of bought alpha protocol a few months ago. Look how that ended up after all the hype.
Also, if you are one of those stubborn people that wanted "player reviews" then read this.

Usual pessimism, this could be good. Just because it has the same engine as Oblivion it doesn't mean that it is Oblivion. Fallout feels darker than Oblivion.

Yea fallout was a great game. Fallout3 was a pretty good game for its time, and in Fallout New Vegas the development team didn't even try.

People said this to me when I predicted that MW2 wouldn't be a good game.
Yep, get this game if liked old one, but liked when it didn't run. Since this game is a bugged, npc lagging with Nvidia cards, freezing mess.
And IGN sucks. They gave Hydro Thunder Hurricane a 5.5!

Thank you. The game won't even run at higher than 16 fps when I am around NPC's.
Giant Bomb gave New Vegas 4 stars but only gave DR2 3 stars. What the hell.
