Minimum specs mean nothing because there is a huge difference between actually running the game and being able to play it.
Hooray.
12GB? Bloody hell.
Twelve gigs!? Seriously? [editline]21st October 2010[/editline] Ninjas!
Minimum System Requirements: Hard Drive Space: 16GB free hard drive space Operating System: XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7 Processor: AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz or better RAM: 512MB RAM (XP) / 1GB RAM (Vista) Video Card: Shader 3.0 or better 256MB Nvidia GeForce 6600GT / ATI Radeon 1600XT or better
So, it's been confirmed they are using a new engine then. By the way, 12 gig's isn't even a lot.. Looks like I won't be playing this one; 8600 GT whilst I only have a 9500GT.
12GB? Goodbye MW2 piece of shit

Would a 9800GT be able to run this well?
Would a 9800GT be able to run this well?
I ran MW2 very well on an 8800GT. The 9800GT is either on par or very similar to it so you can expect at least reasonable performance.
hey derpsicles an 8600 gt is a lot lower than an 8800, and a lot lot lower than a 9600 bigger number is better
damn, I thought you were talking about 12 gb of ram..
How would a Radeon 4650 run this? I just switched to it but I have always used Nvidia, it's a bit of a stranger for me.
HEY GUYS HOW WOULD TWO 5970s IN CROSSFIRE RUN THIS GAME? CAN I RUN IT ON LOW AT LEAST?!@!?!
hey derpsicles an 8600 gt is a lot lower than an 8800, and a lot lot lower than a 9600 bigger number is better
8800 kicks both their asses.
Are you reffering to me?
HEY GUYS HOW WOULD TWO 5970s IN CROSSFIRE RUN THIS GAME? CAN I RUN IT ON LOW AT LEAST?!@!?!
Best you can play with those is Doom, and even that's pushing it
HEY GUYS HOW WOULD TWO 5970s IN CROSSFIRE RUN THIS GAME? CAN I RUN IT ON LOW AT LEAST?!@!?!
Possible, 800x600, no AA with everything on low. Unlikely though.
12GB? Bloody hell.
So? MW2 need 16GBs. [editline]21st October 2010[/editline] I still want to know if it's Steam only though.
Higher than I expected, won't buy it anyhow.. But still, higher than expected.
Are people seriously asking whether they can run this game? It'll run fine maxed out if you have a 48** or 2** + series card, anything lower and it'll still probably run alright.
It is. http://www.bluesnews.com/s/113767/new-call-of-duty-black-ops-mp-details
Did they just call VAC DRM?
Eh, I can run it, but I'm not going to buy it until I'm sure its less of a piece of shit compared to MW2.
Wait, why did this need its own thread? Also, stop crying about the HDD space, MW2 was 14GB and about 6GB of that was unnecessary.
12GB? Goodbye MW2 piece of shit
Wait what? You hated Modern Warfare 2 so now you're going to spend another $60 to get a clone of it?

12 GB isn't that much Age of Conan is around 27 GB
It is. http://www.bluesnews.com/s/113767/new-call-of-duty-black-ops-mp-details
Oh, cool. Now why isn't it on Steam yet?
Jesus, it kinda demands for a decently hefty processor, kinda scared that my old ass athlon dual core won't do the trick :ohdear:
