• Hearts of Iron II versus Hearts of Iron III

I was just wondering what people's opinions on the two games were.
Both have a steep learning curve that i'm yet to conquer.
I find the HOI 2 faster, and more entertaining becasue of the easy controls. But HOI 3 is more complicated and deeper which is also fun, espescially when playing with friends.
I personally prefer AoD + IC to both of them.
Both are really great, but HoI3 lags on my computer, and my computer is rather powerful.
Hearts of Iron II is vastly superior to Hearts of Iron III. It has more events, TECH TEAMS (why Paradox would remove this feature from HOI3 is beyond me), more unique traits for both military figures and political figures, more mods which have been released to it (like Kaiserreich, 1914: The Great War, Fallout, C.O.R.E., etc.), a much more polished intelligence/espionage system, and a greater level of attention to historical accuracy. Arsenal of Democracy is what really sells it, though. Darkest Hour is another one that's going to be really good (it's a total conversion for AoD that starts in 1914, with the outbreak of the Great War, and ends in 2010; it's licensed by Paradox, apparently).
I'm more into Hearts of Iron III since it's more in depth and complex than it's predecessor Paradox title. I really don't mind all the flaws like the dreaded lag and such since I'm grown practically immune to them and the game makes up for it for it's superior gameplay quality.
