This is probobly a real stupid question, but how do you play a source mod that you downloaded. I put it in the Sourcmod folder but I don't know how to play it, there is no link to play it on the desktop, start menu, or Steam. I'm using windows 7 and this is the first source mod I downloaded. It's the Combine Destiny mod if anyone was wondering.
You need to restart steam before the mod will appear in it.
Also, the mod should be a folder. If it's a .zip/.rar you'll need to extract it.
You'll know that you've got it right when you have something like this:
SourceMods/<modname>/gameinfo.txt
There are 3 things you could do.
1: Restart steam. When you start it back up, it should be there.
2: Look inside the folder for an install area. Click it and it should extract the game into the steamapps folder
3: Manually extract the content of the folder to steamapps
