[release]Ah man, this game brings back nostalgia. It’s my favorite of all the 10 Battlefield games as of yet, late nights with infantry only on Karkand. This is also my most played game ever.

Battlefield 2 (commonly abbreviated to BF2) is a computer game by the Swedish developer Digital Illusions CE (DICE). During development, Trauma Studios contributed to the development of the game after it was acquired by DICE. Battlefield 2 is published by Electronic Arts and is the third full game in the Battlefield series, released on June 21, 2005 in North America for Microsoft Windows. The latest version is v1.50, which was released on September 1, 2009 and added the content of the Euro Force and Armored Fury booster packs, as well as the Highway Tampa and Operation Blue Pearl maps.
Players fight in a modern battlefield, using modern weapon systems. Battlefield 2 is a first-person shooter with some strategy and RPG elements. The single player features missions that involve clashes between US Marines, China and the fictional Middle Eastern Coalition. The multiplayer aspect of the game allows players to organize into squads that come under the leadership of a single commander to promote teamwork.
(Pulled from Wikipedia.)
Battlefield 1942 is a 3D World War II first-person shooter (FPS) computer game developed by Swedish company Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows (2002) and Apple Macintosh (2004). The game can be played in singleplayer mode against computer game bots or in multiplayer mode against players on the Internet or in a Local Area Network. It is also a popular platform for mod developers, with a large number of released modifications that alter the gameplay and theme.
In-game, players assume the role of one of five classes of infantry: Scout, Assault, Anti-Tank, Medic, and Engineer. Players also have the ability to fly various World War II fighter aircraft and bombers, navigate capital ships, submarines and aircraft carriers, man coastal artillery defenses, drive tanks, APCs and jeeps, and take control of anti-aircraft guns and mounted machine guns.
Each battle takes place on one of several maps located in a variety of places and famous battlefields in all of the major theaters of World War II: the Pacific, European, North African, Eastern , and Italian Fronts. Combat is always fought between the Axis Powers and the Allies. The location determines which nation-specific armies are used (for example, on the Wake Island map, it is Japan versus the United States, while on the Battle of Britain map, it is Germany versus the United Kingdom). The maps in Battlefield 1942 are based on real battles and are somewhat realistically portrayed.
(Pulled from Wikipedia)
Battlefield Vietnam is the second video game in Electronic Arts' Battlefield franchise after Battlefield 1942. The game was developed by the Swedish company Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts on March 15, 2004 in North America and days later in other parts of the world. Battlefield Vietnam takes place during the Vietnam War. The game features a large variety of maps based on historical settings, such as the Ho Chi Minh Trail, Battle of Hue, Ia Drang Valley, Operation Flaming Dart, The Battle of Khe Sanh and Fall of Saigon. Many parts of the game have been influenced by popular Vietnam War movies. Examples are the player's ability to play Ride of the Valkyries on the radio and the tiger striped M79 from Apocalypse Now.
On March 15, 2005, EA re-released the game as Battlefield Vietnam: Redux, which includes the 1.01, 1.02, 1.1, and 1.2 patches, new vehicles, maps, and an EA-produced World War II mod, based on the previous Battlefield 1942.
[release] I really loved this for some reason. I think I ticked in 40 hours of gaming on this, despite its lack of maps and classes. Still, no idea why. I just loved it. Shame it had so little content.
GENERAL INFO
(Pulled from Wikipedia)
Like Battlefield: Bad Company, 1943 features the Frostbite Engine for its environmental damage. The game only features the series' signature Conquest mode and a new gametype called Air Superiority which was unlocked when the online gaming community reached a combined total of 43 million kills in Conquest. Similar to Battlefield Heroes, 1943 features only three classes - Infantryman, rifleman, and scout. Each class has an unlimited supply of ammunition; however, explosive ordnance takes a few seconds to replenish. The game also features a regenerating health system similar to the later games in the Call of Duty series or the Halo series.

Heroes was really fun for two hours and it really sucked after that. Nevertheless it provided an epic trailer. Also, Play4Free - eeeeh, Battlefield 2 on Frostbite + lag. Didn't love it, though it was better then most low budget games.

Battlefield: Heroes
Pulled from Wikipedia.
Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon-style action video game developed by EA, DICE, and now Easy Studios. It is played from a third-person perspective. The game is less demanding on computer specifications than the previous games of the series to increase the audience base.[7] In addition, the game matches players of similar levels together for fairer play.[8]
On March, 8th 2011, EA announced that the game had reached seven million registered users.
Heroes is the first Battlefield game to be released under Electronic Arts' new "Play 4 Free" model, which will see the game released for free with revenue generated from advertising and micropayments. Advertisements appear on the website and the 'front-end' of the game although none appear while playing, while micropayments may be made for additional items to customize the appearance of players' avatars or to buy stronger weapons. Furthermore, purchasable BattleFunds can be used to redeem rate boosts to experience points along with other items.
Battlefield Play4Free
Pulled from Wikipedia.
Battlefield Play4Free is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by EA and Easy Studios. Based on the Battlefield series, the game will be set in the modern theatre of war. Play4Free is built on a modified version of Battlefield 2's engine, with improvements such as high resolution artwork and post-processing effects. The game was also announced to be less demanding on computer specifications.
As the game’s title suggests, the game would be available to players for free online, under Electronic Arts' "Play 4 Free" model. Play4Free uses a similar micro-payments store system as Heroes. It was announced on November 5, 2010. The game is currently in closed beta testing phase, which began on November 30, 2010, with the full release slated for early 2011. Open beta is scheduled to begin on April 4, 2011. Beta codes were starting to be distributed via email on March 17th 2011.

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a first-person shooter video game in the Battlefield series, developed by Digital Illusions CE. Modern Combat is the first Battlefield game for video game consoles.
The game was initially released for the Xbox and PlayStation 2 on October 25, 2005 in North America. On April 11, 2006, an updated version of the game was released for the Xbox 360 featuring improved graphics and online features. A PlayStation Portable version was announced in 2005, but was canceled. Instead, DICE developed Battlefield: Bad Company for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Couldn't find a picture of a Modern Combat tank. V:v:V
No xp for battlefield 3? Darn. Oh well.
Where may I locate this?
It was mentioned in the last thread where a guy who went on PAX managed to get a sneak peek on the computer running the game (demo).
It was a Nvidia GTX 580 graphic card and something else I can't manage to remember. I'll look it up again in the old thread
[editline]Edited:[/editline]
The demo was running on max settings with that rig if I recall correctly.
A PS2 tank is fine too.
I really wished this game had mod tools.
Ah well

There might be mod tools in the future though, they haven't said that mod tools are a complete no, only that it won't be shipped with the game so the possibility is there

Funny thread title considering I can't play Project Reality because I'm banned from 90% of the servers the first day I tried to play.
I had BF2 a long time ago but I only played it once because my computer was shit. Year or two down the road I see PR and I want to try it out on my better computer. Install it and I realize I lost the little paper with the fucking authenticity code or whatever so I had to get one online.
Now I'm banned from most of PR because my account is linked with that code and apparently someone else decided to be a dick and get himself Punk-Busted from EVERYTHING.
They said there would be no mod tools because 'they're too complicated'

For now anyway.
God I still have 1942, Vietnam, and 2. Can only play online in 2 though. Vietnam and 1942 won't let me go online for whatever reason. No it wasn't punkbuster, some out of date version or something, and no matter how many times I update it, nothing changes.

Works for me, I played 1942 just a few days ago for the nostalgia.

Well. Got my new graphics card paid for.
BF3 and Brink are probably paid for. If I've got some spare cash and I've got my game already, anybody whos low and near the price mark, I'll give you the rest, hate seeing people being left out. :saddowns:
GET IN THE STEAM CHAT YOU MOTHER FUCKERS
I hope this game is Steamworks and not the horrid EA account thing which is marginally better (or is it?) than GFWL.
