How do I make myself an admin on my remote dedicated server?

I bought a server from Brohoster, and I can't figure out how to make myself an admin on my sever so I can control stuff like kicks and item giving like I would while using the downloadable server tools.

Is there a plugin I need or something of that sort? I keep seeing things about player.txt and admin.txt, yet I can't find either of those files in my FTP directory. Anyone know?

Well I figured at least someone on this forum has experience with admining a Brohosted server :downs:

add name

open /permissions/config.yml

add name and details

All I see is the ops.txt file.

Anyways, have you installed the Craftbukkit package?
If not, the "Permissions" file will not be there.

if you have access to the server console just type /op 'username without quotes'

Actually the permissions file isn't anywhere, I need to configure it so people can have it autoinstalled by option. A bunch of people are getting confused :gonk:

Weird, I'm almost certain that it was generated in all of the VG servers and Nationcraft...
