OK, my dad is 32 and I have been wondering something, how do I get him into games like TF2, I'm going to try to get him into TF2 and other games soon and want some tips to help, thanks.
In my opinion, someone who is 32 with children have much better things to do than to play video games.
Well, for me one time i was playing Bad Company 2. He used to be a gamer as a teen, then he asked me what game it was and i showed him how to play and shit, now he's hooked to it. He plays like twice a week and when he DOES play he spends 6 hours in front of the computer playing BC2. And wont let me take turns. I regret pulling him in to PC gaming. He's 41.
Show him Duke Nukem Forever came out. I bet he's been too sad at the delays to play any other game since 1996. Now that the game has come out he can let his inner gamer out of the deep, dark place in his heart.
Making money to support the family maybe?
Because when you get older you should devote 100% of every hour to making money, right
Haha all i could get my father into is harvest moon O.o
It was my dad who actually got me into gaming :v: He used to play Tomb Raider 1 when I was a wee child. He also bought himself a PS3 when he was abroad. For some reason I can't get him into games that I like, like TF2, L4D and Zelda. :saddowns:
Get him into Arma, old people love Arma.
My dad is a big Westerns fan, he saw me playing Red Dead Redemption, and asked if he could try it out. I showed him all the controls and stuff. For like the first month when ever he would play he would just go around killing everyone (he had a 30,000 bounty at one point). After a while I convinced him to try the story. He tried it and loved it. He bought himself a Xbox so we could play together online. I got him to try out LA Noire but he didn't like it much. I'm trying to convince to play GTA IV now. Hes 57 by the way.
Get him familiar with controls/source engine. Have him play Portal.
My dad was the one that got me into playing games when I was young.
I hate when me dad gets in to one of my games. He won't take the Xbox to his room or the living room and he just sits in mine using my TV all day And he's pretty much deaf so he turns the TV up so loud I can't even stand using my computer in the same room.
I play CoD4 with my dad all the time, I should get him a F2P TF2 account.
