So what exactly is LSD? It's not Lysergic acid diethylamide.
LSD can stand for linking the sapient dream, along with many other meanings. LSD is a "dream emulator",
it's based off of a dream journal that a designer at asmik ace kept.

What the fuck?
Although this translates to trippy places and I'm fairly certain that whoever made this was on LSD himself. This game contains a large amount of levels however these levels change, such as changes in texture, the adding of fog, or just some random creepy face. In this game you aren't a specifically suppose to do anything except enjoy the scenery and explore a "Dream".

This game was released in japan and only in japan. However it is playable on emulators such as ePSXe.

The music in this game is bizzare it includes only one song... ONLY one, however it is played at different speeds and "patterns" with some extra synths thrown in. It was made by Ken Ishii the same person who made the tracks for the game Rez. That means there is over 500 songs all using one song.
It's almost impossible to get the same level twice unless by dream recall which only lasts five minutes, while a usual dream will last around ten.
The game is split up into days I believe there around 30 in total before you can dream recall. When you finish a dream or day it marks it on the grid.

The grid
The grid is split into 4 sides. Static, dynamic, upper, downer. Which static means your dream did change much, while dynamic means it does change. Upper means happy dream.
(although I have played the game in the scariest level which includes dead bodies and lynched people and strangely gave me an upper)
Despite having no story this game does have cutscenes which are sometimes triggered by bumping into things. Which brings up another subject, getting to other levels which you do by... Bumping into things, every object in the game is a teleport even the walls, which makes it a hard to go through a corridor without teleporting.
This game is SCARY despite being on the PSX. Actually that's what makes it scary, the textures jump at you when you get near them due to a clipping error. That brings up the character Grey Man. Grey man starts popping up around day 15. Which is scary as all hell because he pops up without warning and he doesn't even walk he just stands there moving towards you without walking

If you touch this guy he ends your dream along with not being able to do dream recall
If you want to play the game get it here and use ePSXe and then download BIOS. And if it asks for zlib1.dll you can download it hereand click on the link right under zlib1.dll fixer tool
This needs a sequel.
Oh I remember this, really trippy and fun to explore. Whenever I see the Man In Black I get a heart attack. I always wanted a remake for this, not with HD textures but rather just some more dynamic stuff and better controls, also possibly a PC version. The low-res grainy look actually added to the atmosphere. Loved both this and Yume Nikki.
also there was a fanmade game inspired by this called Soup which is also worth trying, you can download it here
just click any of the two mirrors at the bottom with the HDD icons
Yeah, LSD is a really cool and interesting game.
The idea for the game came from one of the staff member's dream diary. He recorded dreams of his over a long period of time, which most of the elements of the dreams in LSD are based off of.
I remember LSD, it fucked my dreams up for 3 weeks.
If you want to play this game download ePSXe get a BIOS for it and find an ISO of this game. Unless you own a PSX and want to cough up 200 dollars for a copy from japan. Which is almost impossible since this game had a few 100 copies
Edit:
I'm uploading a Rom for LSD now if anyone is intrested
