Welcome to the Zone, brother! The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series is currently made up of three games: Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat. Each game has its own set of unique experiences, features, and a new twist upon the life of a Stalker.
The game series is based off of the Chernobyl Nuclear catastrophe, with its own fictional additions. The zone is an irradiated hell hole that was formed after a fictional second explosion at the powerplant, it's filled with anomalies and known to be home to deadly mutants. The Zone is populated by people nicknamed S.T.A.L.K.E.Rs, which stands for "Scavenger, Trespasser, Adventurer, Loner, Killer, Explorer, Robber". Stalkers are divided into clans, each with their own ideals and goals, such as the anarchist Freedom faction or fanatic Monolith.
This is just a quick overview, for more in-depth information I recommend heading over to the STALKER websites listed below. The Wiki is a fantastic resource that holds tons of extra information, but be careful about spoilers!

You put 10 of each of the items in the stash in the Yanov station, and you obtain a patch stating you are a stalker veteran.

Nothing other than flavour and immersion. If you're strapped for cash, they also sell for a few rubles each.

If you see a group of suspected enemies you would do well to give them a good look with the Binoculars and then make your way around them to higher ground. Also if you have a grenade throw it [i]then[/i] engage with your guns to maximise initial losses.
Speaking of RP, what about that PnP?

I just found out what WotW is, a;kdlf does not accurately describe how much I anticipate this mod, also SMP is starting to get boring, I need a new mod, any suggestions? Could be for any of the games it doesn't matter, they were all awesome. Any good clear sky mods?
