Damned is a co-op survival horror game on Steam for $9.99 (Its still in Alpha so be aware its still a bit buggy and will be adding content along the way)
Game play consist of four survivors trying to escape a haunted building (current locations include a hotel, a hostel, and a restaurant) by finding keys and other items needed to progress through the building and find your way out. A fifth player is the Monster, whose goal is to hunt down the survivors and kill them before they can escape.

[B]Survivors[/B]
Must find keys and other items scattered around the map in randomized locations to unlock different rooms and eventually escape
If you hear a loud noise like a clock chiming or boards creaking you've set off one of the Monster's traps which gives away your location, which usually means you need to hide
Every survivor has a flashlight, but be aware the light can easily be seen by the Monster and they can hear the clicking sound it makes when you switch it on an off
The Monster is faster than your normal walking speed but slower than your sprint, so try to conserve your stamina
When a survivor is killed, other survivors can retrieve any items they were holding from the corpse
Currently there is no voice chat so all in-game communication is down through text chat
[B]The Monster[/B]
The Monster has two forms, ghost form and physical form
In ghost form the monster is very fast and can pass through doors, but cannot see or hear the survivors
The Monster can set traps in ghost form by interacting with glowing objects around the map (such as light fixtures, clocks, tables, etc.) that will make a loud sound whenever a survivor gets to close to them, letting them track their movements
The screen will change colors and display a message for the Monster when they can change into their physical form, which they can only hold for a limited time (30 secs)
In physical form the Monster can see and hear survivors, though their vision is more limited than the survivors
The Monster also has night vision in physical form, so they can still see survivors when their flashlights are off
The Monster can only kill survivors in their physical form

Personally I really like this game so far and can't wait to see how is progresses. Also I just want FP to now this game exist so I can hopefully get a regular group of people to play with instead of relying on pubs.

Game is nice and have a tons of potential, I hope they will add more monsters with different gameplay.
There needs to be incentive for the monster to not just camp some vital area, because really that's all I see happening in this game when the general public gets their grimy mitts on it.

anyway, do any of you guys struggle to get into games? I'm lucky if I get into a game, either if it's in lobby or not. the server has players and it's not full, but when I connect I'm sent to the lobby screen with no players, not even me.
The phantom is seriously OP, they need to remove the collision detection. When he bumps into you you're basically fucked.

Yeah it's a common bug, happend to me a few times too. You have to restart the game to fix it I think.

Yep; THIS is the kind of horror game we need that has that kind of replayability. Games like Damned and The Hidden (sure it's a mod but w/e) prove that even co-op can be scary if the scary is done right, even if the latter has a lot of videos done by SeaNanners. Then again I kinda enjoyed those videos, even when part of the fun was in the antics that Nanners got up to, pigsticking his pals and blowing dolphins.
