I recently stumbled upon an online version of oregon trail with a unique twist, instead of the normal trail you must survive a trek across the country while facing zombie hoards. The game starts with the following screen... I have noticed that the top ten is empty so it is possible the game has not been beat, and with the references to modern films in the game I assume this was made recently (Also I only passed 1 tombstone) Once the game begins you choose your profession and name your group You then scavenge for supplies and head out Pressing ENTER while traveling brings up differnt options Most of the game is self explainitory but it never hurts to talk to other people at landmarks for helpful hints Here s the link to the game http://www.hatsproductions.com/OrganTrail.swf On my first try I killed off all of my group but myself before I started my traveling. (yes you can kill healthy team mates to preserve supplies) I managed to make it to the second to last land mark before I turned into a zombie. If anyone happens to come across the grave of Chris with the caption "Well damn" please feel free to pay me respects before blowing my re-animated corpse away.
This should probably be added to the OP but gravestones, much like the scoreboard, don't save so no one is able to see anyone else's gravestones.
So you will have to screen cap your own and post it instead
It's weird to see an 8-bit beta zoey and an 8-bit resident evil 4 merchant
Oh wow. Oregon train brings back memories. I should check this out
Oh wow. Oregon train brings back memories. 3 of my guys got bit by zombies. :v:
The last level is pretty fun. I wish they would have done more stuff like that ON the journey.

It's Shawn in the middle!
Made it all the way to the end, wasnt that hard really. Just gotta watch your fuel, food and health. Fun game though.
Last part of the game was fun :v:
Definitely much longer than Oregan trail. One of my party members got infected at the Mall near Pittsburgh, everyone at full health he fell ill in the night and died, infecting and incapping another survivor who I had to put down. Uneventful all the way to Vegas where a third member was infected and got Green Flu and was incapped at the final landmark. Then one of the surviving two got bitten. Twice. Survived though, since I had way too many first aid kits. The party leader (Me) never even so much as had a cough. Final score of 1432 (Started as cop.)
Fun game but very long, and maybe too easy the keys to winning are -don't travel at night, you're much more likely to have to deal with hordes at night (I traveled only during the day and I only ever encountered two hordes, and one was at night at the beginning before I started following my own advice) -scavenge for food. every single hour that passes, regardless of what you're doing (trading, resting, shopping, whatever) lowers your food, so you need to scavenge a LOT. fortunately, food is apparently dimeadozen in postapocalyptia -trade a LOT. at first I only thought you could trade once per stop, but you can do it over and over. most trade proposals are bad or mediocre, but sometimes you get a DAMN good deal (like 7 ounces of food for 80 dollars). you generally don't want to trade away your replacement parts though, as the deals involving them generally aren't worth it. same with medkits. too valuable. bullets, food, money, and fuel are the best currency. remember though, each time you trade one hour passes and you lose food, and if you do it 10+ times you can easily run out of food without noticing. this is why trading is best done on the road, because you can scavenge some food and keep trading endlessly -always make sure you have lots of fuel. not just for travel, but for trade. -keep a steady pace, there's no need to go faster (except to make the game go faster being that it's so fucking long). meager meal portions are fine as well, but with food being so abundant, filling portions are fine too just as long as you keep a careful eye on how much food you have and are diligent about scavenging -spend most of your actual money on fuel, because you rarely get it when trading. fuel was one of the biggest problems for me. all in all I finished with a score of 2432 or something like that on medium with two people left (myself and Francis :v:). two people got bitten and I put them down immediately, and one person wandered off after like ten days and was never heard from again. Lola, you stupid bitch. How are we supposed to repopulate the human race n- oh, nevermind. you were a transvestite. -
I killed my teammates at start (save for one) to make it easier to play, less people to share supplies with.
I made it just a little past Nevada. Died in the desert after killing off all my friends and family. If you find my tombstone, post what the epitaph says.
Got to the end as a Lawyer, scored around 5,300. Tried to see what the top qualifier thing is, sent me to black screen. Couldn't save score.

All of a sudden: "Margarita has a broken arm" wat
There's a bug/programming mistake which mean if you stop and major events happen, the events aren't listed until after you start traveling again. The broken arm is probably what caused the low health. For example, one of my party, Y died infected in the night and bit X, knocking her out. I shot X. I got the shooting message straight away. I set off in the morning. First 'step' of the journey I got "The party has run out of food, scavenge for more", "Y has cholera", "Y has been incapped by cholera", "Y has died.", "Y has risen and bitten X." "X is incapped.", "The party has run out of food, scavenge for more". I had also scavenged 200lbs of food the same night and had plenty by the time I set off.

Only could find andy's tombstone.
I found this same game a while ago, when I told a friend about Oregon trail, and he thought I said "Organ Trail", so we googled it to see if that was a real game. :v:
