I hope this isn't too stupid of a question, but I know people that actually like Runescape more than WoW..I was wondering if there's the same type of people on here.
I really hope not, but I'm curious. So, what's it to you? Runescape or World of Warcraft? Or neither?
Neither, They're both worthless timesinks with no ultimate goal other than to reach a certain level and waste a year of your life to sell the account for 200 dollars.

I don't know... I used to think WoW was fun when I was younger.
But now it's just a huge grind.
Not to say it WASN'T when I was younger, I guess my tastes have changed.
Currently I just don't see either WoW or Runescape fun.
Though I suppose they would both be great while playing with friends and not randoms.

I'd go with WoW because the Warcraft universe is awesome and the design is colourful and cool.
WoW has more in it.

It was a quote, but anyhow, if you REALLY had to choose OP, pick WoW. The lore is pretty cool to get into. I'm kind of still waiting on that Warhammer 40k MMO

It's still a product of mostly Blizzard, I don't see why they being merged would change anything.
It's not like activision is gonna run in and ruin the game with balance issues (blizzard has been doing that fine by themselves since forever) and rehashing (mostly because it's an MMO and not a series where they keep releasing new games).
I played WoW for a while and got bored after 3 weeks because it's a huge grindfest. Not to say Runescape isn't, but Runescape seems to have an actual purpose for the grindfest and is a bit more flexible with it.
I also liked Runescape's quest system more because the quests were more in depth and had multiple steps rather than WoW's, "KILL 10 OF THESE, NOW DO IT 5000 TIMES"
The only thing I liked more about WoW was the PvP, but I'm not a huge PvP player when it comes to RPGs so it's really a personal choice.

There is no Keyword: WAS.
Blizzard isn't Blizzard-Activision, and Activision isn't Blizzard-Activision.
So many times we've been over this.
WoW is terrible now and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Runescape at least got back wilderness and a few other things, but I still wouldn't return to it.
Runescape cost me my social life, so I guess it was a pretty decent game. This was during Runescape Classic, though.
