I decided to play this mod and post it on the good old woochoob.
If you don't know anything about this mod it's pretty well recieved in the community. Of course being that it's for HL1 it's not the most visually appealing but it apparently gets the job done fucking with your head.

Anyway.. here's the first video. Please understand that with any game the first section of gameplay is always going to be a "so this is how you do that" kinda thing.. towards the last quarter of this video I start getting into proper gameplay but theres a section of tutorialy stuff. I'm going to either cut or speed up sections where I just waste time, in the interest of holding your attention.

Answer: The anticheating services WILL NOT BAN YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU PLAYING OUR MOD ONLINE. The VAC will detect opengl32.dll as a cheat in case if you will try to play another HL1 mod (CS1.6 for example) online on the server with VAC protection. Paranoia seems to have pretty good video quality compared to the hl1 mods I play. Although, it may just be my sucky computer.

Apparently Cry of Fear is using a modified version of Paranoia's hellagraphics32.dll
So am I safe to download and just play this...or are there some "extra shit" I need to do first to ensure I don't get VAC'd?
It's a good mod, I played it when it first came out and enjoyed it.

I basically have every valve game except half life 1. Im surprised its the same price as HL2, shouldve bought it on the 10th anniversary when it was like 10 cents.

I played this on my old laptop(which one day started making FIRE when I charged it :( ),it was sweet.
I could barely contain my laughter after the video sped up. It was like seeing things through the eyes of a tapdancing chipmunk.
