I've been posting these in the "Artistic minecraft pictures" thread, but some of my friends said they were threadworthy. So I'm posting them here, in chronological order. This is my first picture, it was drawn out of boredom and having spent too much time on Minecraft. I think the clouds are a little thick, but it gives off a different, fluffier style. Funny story about this second picture. My friend drew a picture of an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. We both knew it wasn't good; he drew it with a brush size of 4.0 and an equally large blur. So I decided I would draw a better one, and for kicks and giggles I put it in Minecraft. I know the helicopter perspective is a little off, but I'm happy with it overall. Another drawing I posted. The Aether, hopefully to be released in 1.7! After posting these in the Artistic Minecraft pictures thread, I got a request for a high resolution background. After a day or two, I finally got it done. This is my current background, and I actually prefer it to my second wallpaper. (posted below) The latest drawing I did was a higher resolution drawing of the Aether picture. There are two creeper faces in it. Have fun trying to find them. As I said before in my thread, the pictures are amazing. They look brilliant. The only problem is that the characters/animals/vehicle's/etc. don't seem to fit in with the paint-like look. Their edges look to jagged and stand out way too much.
I'm sorry, I had to. BTW, I like the pictures alot.

These are really good, wow. Would you mind doing a picture of a dungeon? I'd like to see how you would draw it.

After that, Could you try to draw the nether? That would be cool.
After that, Could you try to draw the nether? That would be cool.
Actually I have a very awesome idea that kind of sort of includes the nether. Just wait...
Your alpine/fir trees make me wish forests looked like that in MC.
I like your art style a lot. Keep going at it!
I like your art style a lot. Keep going at it!
That I will, kind sir. :v: [editline]24th June 2011[/editline] Ok, new picture. I tried not to blur at all in this one, and it's worked fairly well I think. It's 3:27 AM here, so I'll be off to bed. Enjoy this for now, and I may go back and edit it. perspective is off, bland and simple colours and blocks aren't something you would stylize in that manner
perspective is off, bland and simple colours and blocks aren't something you would stylize in that manner
So you rated him dumb. Anyway, they look good! It has a very peaceful look to it.
I think rather than getting your background to look like your characters, I think you should do it the other way around. I prefer the blurred backgrounds better than the more solid colour ones - I guess if you blur or use shades of colour. Or just try not to make the outline so dark.. I don't really know. But it's worth testing out different ways. Really nice work so far though. Keep it up!
Ooh, are you still doing these?
