[B]What is Xbox LIVE?[/B] a) Get out from under your rock. b) Xbox LIVE is Microsoft's gamer-uniting, community-creating award-winning online service for the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms (sharing accounts with Games For Windows LIVE and Zune, and soon to be the LIVE anywhere project, whatever that results in) which gives access to online play, TruSkill matchmaking (which means you won't get owned by pros that have been playing you just bought since its release), an Online Marketplace (where you can use Microsoft's currency, Microsoft Points, to buy games, DLC, addons as well as rent movies and series, or if you're a cheapskate you can just download demos and free content freely), an unified friends list, voice chat and LIVE parties, Gamerscore, a Gamertag (which is unique and represents you), Achievements, among many others. It was released 15 November, 2002. [B]Where can I get a Xbox LIVE?[/B] There are 2 different types of accounts: Silver and Gold. Gold members, just like in FP, are in every way better than you. They have access to online play, demos a few days early than silver members and uh that's it I suppose. Golden membership costs 50 dollars per year, which is acceptable considering you get a lot of bang for your buck. If you think 50 dollars per year is unacceptable feel free to pay the big bucks for the competition's products (here I should say something nice about those other products - but then again our product is superior, right? THIS ISN'T UP FOR DEBATE). Silver accounts are free and have everything but online play, so yeah. [B]What are achievements?[/B] It's those little things you unlock when you achieve things in games. Yeah, it's that simple. They can go from the easiest (pressing the start button) to the hardest (commit zombie genocide in dead rising). They award you Gamerscore, which is another way of completing your e-penis (it's just a little number next to your gamertag - but damn is it important. Show them online.) [B]How good is Xbox LIVE?[/B] Pretty good. Mostly everyone doesn't care about paying 50 bucks per year since the service's quality is outstanding overall. [B]What is the NXE?[/B] NXE stands for New Xbox Experience. It introduced us to the new UI, netflix streaming (thanks for all the extra movies colombia pictures ), AVATARS (yeah, I know they slightly look like Miis but they're not so stop comparing them), 16:10, among other things. Since many people have had the console more then me, i was playing the L4D2 Demo on Multi-Player, the Microphone icon shows up, is it because Kinect is plugged in? Or is it a glitch.
