It places you, the player, in control of the paper-crafted world of avatars Iota (Male) or Atoi (Female) in their mission to deliver a special message to you. It's a linear platformer with occasional puzzles that clocks in at around 6-8 hours depending on how fast you go. Throughout, you'll encounter both enemies to combat and friendly NPC's who will make requests of your god like powers. Tearaway release this Friday, November 22 in the US/UK, and available now in AUS. Some examples include... -Using the rear touch pad your fingers will tear into the world of tearaway so you can manipulate objects to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, or to help in platforming. -Using the front touch screen you can fold/unfold/cut the world to both manipulate the world and customize it through crafting (I.E Create a paper crown for the squirrel king). -The rear camera is used to take photos that can be used as textures in-game. -The front camera will display your face on the sun, since you are looking down onto the world. -The microphone is used to manipulate the world through various means (I.E Blow into the mic to create a gust of wind or create a sound byte to be used as an NPC's voice). Whether it was a riding a pig towards the sunset or playing basketball with a super-powered accordion, it never failed to make me smile. It sincerely believes that imagination really is the most important faculty, and in turn, succeeded in transporting me back to a time when I built strange worlds equipped with nothing but crayons and card. It does this by using every aspect of the Vita, crafting an experience that I can’t imagine being realised elsewhere. It might be short, but it’s very special. One of the rare games that really make me want a Vita
Didn't this game let you print your trophies? It's a nice and unique feature.
Time to buy a PS Vita now.
I was already getting a vita and oh my god this game is so cute it made my beard fall off.
Didn't this game let you print your trophies? It's a nice and unique feature.
As far as I know, you'll be able to print out and construct a good majority of the game. I'm not sure the details, but Media Molecule made it a point that everything you see in game would have to be able to be crafted in real life.
I'm so pumped for this game. LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2 were two of the best games I've ever played and I'm sure I'll have fun with this one.
There is a demo out for NA : https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/games/tearaway-demo/cid=UP9000-PCSA00144_00-TEARAWAYDEMO0000 Not sure if there is one for EU or not.

Only played for like an hour, but I'm enjoying it so far. I've unlocked quite a few paper crafts, but I'm not sure if I'm going to attempt crafting any of them. EDIT: More pictures; these were taken using the Vita's Screenshot function and not the camera function in game. Tearaway on PS Vita. Like all the models are low poly on purpose so you can print them out and turn them into 3D paper models outside of the game. I got a Vita yesterday, once I finish off the backlog of games I have I might get it.
