Thread music, fine gents and lady's of the land. The games in order. Fable 1 -
Fable takes place in the fictional world of Albion. Players assume the role of an orphaned boy who realizes his dream of becoming a hero. The choices players make in the game affect the perception and reaction to their Hero by the characters of Albion, and change the Hero's appearance to mirror what good or evil deeds the Hero has performed. In addition to undertaking quests to learn what happened to the Hero's family, players can engage in optional quests and pursuits such as trading, romance, and theft.
Fable TLC - It added armor and more fun quests to Fable 1. Nothing much to mention, except great new quests and and an entire new main quests set to do. Furthering the main quest by about 10 quests or so. Long ones, at that. Fable 2 - A new chapter in Fable, occurs somewhat later in the times. It included the ability to jump over fences, have a dog that will fight for you and even co-op mode. Although the co-op mode was very poorly made.
Announced in 2006, the game takes place once again in Fable's setting of Albion, though 500 years after the final defeat Jack under the Hero of Oakvale. It is in a colonial era resembling the time of highwaymen or the Enlightenment; guns are still primitive, and large castles and cities have developed in the place of towns. Unlike the original, the player may choose to be either male or female.
Fable 3 - A new don in the life of Halo. Taking place at the bloody industrial age.
Set 50 years after the events of Fable II, the continent of Albion (where the Fable series is set) is under the control of Logan, a tyrant king and the Hero's older brother[1]. The player's character, the "Hero", is forced into a quest to become a revolutionary leader to defeat Logan after he reveals his true personality to the Hero. Over the course of the first half of the game, [sp]the Hero will overthrow Logan and become ruler of Albion themselves. During the second half of the game, a strange force from Aurora, called The Darkness will threaten Albion and the player has to decide how to react to it.[/sp]
More thread music, if I may so. Fable 1 and TLC are best fable
Fable 1 and TLC are best fable
How much I agree, it was my childhood.
How much I agree, it was my childhood.
I actually played through it again a few weeks ago, currently playing Fable 3 together with my girlfriend although the glitches can get very annoying, we even had a black kid.
I actually played through it again a few weeks ago, currently playing Fable 3 together with my girlfriend although the glitches can get very annoying, we even had a black kid.
Heh, it's sitting SOMEWHERE in my room. Probably could find that disk with ease and plop it in. It's installed.
I do also remember when I played it for the first time and I couldn't beat Twinblade, I quit for a while, got back to it and did it without any trouble
The first time I got to the bandit camp, I didn't know how to get in.. Note - I was about 7.
I remember finishing Fable 1 with the TLC ,it was the only one I've played of the series, Fable 2 never came to pc and for me,It didn't made much sense playing fable 3 without playing fable 2(Stupid me I guess).
Worst thing about Fable 2: They removed fishing.
Worst thing about Fable 2: They removed fishing.
I only ever used fishing to get that blue mushroom out of the water near the demon door in the guild gardens/training area
I only ever used fishing to get that blue mushroom out of the water near the demon door in the guild gardens/training area
I fished EVERYWHERE. I ran around with the fishing hat, no top, mage trousers and mage boots. I wielded a stick and a bow. Was fucking awesome.
I love the voices in the Fable games.
Fable 1 was fun, but I only played the original - never the expansion. Got it lying around for Xbox somewhere, though. I remember how against almost everything (including the troll ground-slams but excluding Jack of Blade's light area attack), the roll could make you invincible to the point that once you figure out enemy patterns, you'd smack them a few times, roll into them as they attack, and then continue hitting them. As with some fans, I did not enjoy 2 or 3 nearly as much as I did the first, though.
I loved Fable TLC, Fable 3 never happened.
I loved Fable TLC My Character SO MANLY Also modding is fun aswell :v:

This game was SO MUCH fun, just a few steps away from becoming a legend.
I love how the games start RPG and turn into the Sims Medieval by the third one.
Fable 1/TLC was a fucking masterpiece Fable 2 was really good, lacks some elements and the nostalgia value but was still fun Fable 3 was lacking, and the whole weapon system ruined the weapons for me. They overexagerated the whole king part, which sucked. The choices made you think, but that's really it. Fable Kinectwhateverthefuck simply does not exist and that's that
I love how the games start RPG and turn into the Sims Medieval by the third one.
The sims medieval has more choice and probably has more replay value.
imo, i thought the game was the best from fable 1 to fable 3 and then fable 2 i mean i liked fable 2 but it just felt a little lackluster and there was no final confrontation
we agree, bman, we agree.
Fable 3 sucked, no matter what you do for the most part at the end [sp] everyone dies [/sp]
I now have a massive urge to play through TLC again, even though I've beat it roughly 8 times. Everyone should try that game at least once.
Fable 3 was so shitty I didn't bother buying anything ingame because armor was useless and weapons had to evolve to become good. There were no augmentations or anything so it was so casual.
imo, i thought the game was the best from fable 1 to fable 3 and then fable 2 i mean i liked fable 2 but it just felt a little lackluster and there was no final confrontation
I never understood why people expected Lucien to be a huge boss fight. They guy looked like he was going to collapse when you first see him in the Spire, and then it's another 10 years before you confront him. It was better than the shitty Fable 3 ending where you're arbitrarily forced to kill the only interesting character in the game. Plus Fable 2 is better than Fable 3 in every other way. The guys just beat and shot the shit out of me for 3 minutes before I died.
Heres to hoping that Peter Molyneux gets his groove back, or that his son succeeds in guilt tripping Valve into bringing out Half Life 3. Regardless of how bad Fable 3 was, I'm glad I saw Peter play it live, and that I got to thank him for the othe Fables afterwards.
I need to play Fable TLC again and do my No leveling Run. I get to it and then something happends like getting destracted or the save gets corrupted. Fucking loved TLC.

I didn't find either of them interesting.[sp]The Crawler was so cheesy with his monologues about darkness, they didn't even explain what the hell he was or give him any story other than he's evil. The final battle was a massive disappointment for me, I didn't get to fight what I'd spent half of the game waiting to fight.[/sp] Aside from that, [sp]Sir Walter wasn't very interesting either, even his voice was rather wooden (which is strange, Bernard Hill was great in LotR).[/sp] That's one of Fable III's biggest flaws, the audience is supposed to automatically become attached to the characters when in reality, none of them are particularly special.
Fable 1 was amazing and I have played it so many times and could play it again and again even more. Fable 2 was a big let down and was only okay not great. Fable 3 sucked terribly.
