• L4D2 use same custom skin for different survivors

there's a custom survivor model, made for nick; been trying to apply the same skin for ellis: unpacked the vpk, renamed all survivor_gambler files in models\survivors to surviror_mechanic - this changes skin to what's needed, but animation for him doesn't work in multiplayer, model slides instead of walking.. tried to fix: -by changing gambler to mechanic in vmt files from materials\models\survivors\mechanic - didn't work; -by changing gambler to mechanic in survivor_mechanic.mdl file, didn't work, game crushed (if only anim_gambler.mdl renamed, model works correctly, but does not use textures: all purple and stuff); -by decompiling the original gambler.mdl, replacing gambler with mechanic in qc file and compiling back- model became invisible in game. got no other ideas, need assistance on how to port skin to another survivor and make it work correctly in multiplayer [highlight](User was banned for this post ("This isn't a support forum." - rilez))[/highlight]
