New "STEAM Validation Rejected" Error Occurring on Dedicated Server

When I try to join the server that I have hosted for probably every other week for Team Fortress 2, I have only gotten this error once, and to fix you had to make a steam_appid text file and all that. Ever since the new source update this no longer fixes the issue. I'm assuming no one really knows the fix for this since, as I said, the error started occurring about 1 or 2 days ago, but there may still be someone that has a fix.

So if anyone has any suggestions or answers, please help me. Thank you in advance!

But this is for Dedicated Server all around, i've tried it with Counter Strike : Source also.

happened to me until i fixed it. you using a thomson modem?. if you are then your Intrusion Detection might be on, which is causing the problem. to disable it open Run in the start menu and type telnet "your ip address". it should come up with needing a username. The default username is admin. leave the password blank. once in, type in ids then press enter. then type config state=disabled and press enter. then type saveall and your done. fixed it for me

Happens to me all the time. I usually bypass it by joining a server though steam, instead of through the game itself.

Same with me, I tried it a couple days ago and I couldn't get on
I tried it with Counter Strike: Source and HL2DM. Both didn't work.
