OMG IO is Making Another Kane and Lynch Game? - Games

(And no, this isn't sarcasm haha.) It's going to be extremely interesting to see what they do with the third. I can imagine they will improve on all the faults 2 had, learning from a past experience. 2 Was still a great game though, the multiplayer is the main reason to play it. It has a game experience like no other. Hopefully they take the Fragile Alliance game mode and add a bit more customization, maps, weapons, and gameplay elements. Also, for you Kane and Lynch 1 veterans out there, remember that true skill system which would change your appearance by the rank you were on the leader boards? I loved that feature, because once someone joined and was wearing a suit... you knew you were screwed. It was really cool to see your progress visually too. Would you guys want that feature back?

As long as they optimize the fuckin' netcode this time and make the multiplayer actually playable, I'll love every goddamn second of it .

We're still playing it every weekend. I agree with the net code though, they need to sort that out. It's one of the worst net codes I've seen to date.

i dont know why people hate kane and lynch so much, i think the storyline to number 2 was awesome, and the graphics weren't bad either. the only downfall is that it was a little short, but i picked it up in the steam sale for £3.50 so i cant really complain.

I didn't know anyone actually liked this game.

I love the fragile alliance stuff, I was a huge fan of it when the first one came out but the community quickly died out due to the gameplay mechanics being pretty bad and was extremely laggy and buggy. Fragile Alliance in K&L2 was improved but again, the community died out due to the terrible lag.

I've been hosting $5 game competitions lately too. (It released the inner demon in all the players contending, it was truly quite a show) I'll add you!

I wonder if they could make it worse than K&L2. I couldn't bring myself to play it for more than 30 minutes, I got a headache from the wobbly camera. Thank god for rental shops.

The first one was great, but the second one fucked up a lot of things. The story was short, felt really incoherent at times and the whole camera thing just does not work well in a video game.

Kane and Lynch is such a terrible, terrible series.

I enjoyed Kane and Lynch but my god shoot the guy that decided to implement that damn hand camera bollocks.

Shit I got Kl2 for €5 on steam sale and i don't think it was worth that even.

Challenge accepted.

Interesting concept? Yes. God awful second game and a mediocre first? Yes. Worth a third try? Probably not.

It's extremely depressing to see everyone dislike the opportunity for a third. :( Just think about it... the first 2 games were like building blocks. This third and final one can finish it off with a bang!

They said they were gonna do a sequel from the get go.[/QUOTE] Hell, I pre ordered the game for $50! :D And to the disagrees on my last post, just because a series has a bad rep doesn't mean a new game for it will be just as bad as (Game in a series hated here) They could add soooo much more with completely new concepts and gameplay elements. They could capitalize on the bank heist concept, taking Fragile Alliance to a whole new level. I'm just hoping they take it to that extent...

Maybe this time... they can get it just right?

I loved the multiplayer demo for the second game. As long as they don't have you running around shooting people bare-ass-naked for 3 hours I'm sure it'll be better than Dog Days.

What they need to do is focus on making it about something other than shooting people. They nailed atmosphere in the second game, story in the first game. Now they just need to come up with some decent fucking gameplay.

The single player is fucking awful in both games (less awful in the first), the multiplayer was fun though. Not enough to get my to buy it however.
