I just wanted to see peoples' opinions/theories.
Valve/gabe newell has said that "It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it'll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model," ... so tell me what you think!
(I'm not good at composing a scentence.)
I can imagine the promos, a wii u for the pda, wii remote for the wrench, wii zapper for the shotgun, nunchuck for the pistol. Wii remote has a higher range than the wrench but a low chance of letting it go and braking the screens on the dispenser. Wii zapper is automatic, unlimted ammo and high rate of fire, but brakes easily and extremely inaccurate since it is really uncomfortable to hold. The nunchunk... I don't know, taunt is you hanging yourself.
you lied to me
was promised wonderful gifts of love and tf2 for wii u
and you stab me in the back with a speculation thread
Steam on the Wii U would be a pretty awesome idea. It would be good if they could use the USB ports in the back so you can attach a keyboard and mouse for some of the PC players who have a hard time with Console Controls.
Also, I'm 90% sure that Valve would put in a Mario hat if they did.
If VALVe worked something out with Nintendo and managed to get TF2 onto the Wii-U, than that would give me some actualy incentive to buy the system.
What the fuck
It's not even in the TF2 section.
Please remove your own face with these rusty scissors.
I thank you.

Wow who pissed in your cereal
I honestly doubt it will happen, since Valve's idea with TF2 = free with micro transactions, and there hasn't been a single game on a Nintendo system like this.
I could see Valve's newer games being ported over though, so Valve games get a PS3/WiiU/360/PC release.
Also if Nintendo allowed cross platform play that would be awesome.
A re-released Alien Swarm would work so, so much better.

It could be released in the shop channel.

That would work great with Wiimotes too, since you could use your nunchuk's analog stick to move while pointing where you want your guy to aim and shoot.

I could possible see this happening, and I want the fucking Mario hat.

The TF2 cache is about 9gb. The Wii had 2gb of flash memory, so unless they do something with the Wii U it'll have to be put onto two discs.

Or maybe the WiiU will finally have a hard drive?

Anything new regarding Alien Swarm would be great

And maybe this time Valve won't abandon it at birth

WiiU discs are 25GB single layer and 50GB dual layer.
So going by that it's probably BluRay and can fit on one disc.
EDIT: Also, I thought I remember hearing that you will be able to use an external hard drive with the Wii U (as in a USB hard drive), Nintendo does seem to be getting better with external storage, since even the 3DS can use up to a 32GB SD card to save games and download games videos and apps to.
You could fit Alien Swarm onto the WiiU easy and it probably wouldn't be too hard to port if you got hold of the "Wii mote for HL2" mod somebody did.
Thanks for all the speculation, guys. Very interesting.
Also, I have thought about the motion controls, and it would be a cool experience.
Since the wii u has a touchscreen controller, would it be possible to access the dev console?

It depends, I could imagine the controller's touchscreen being used for a keyboard, anything to replace the shitty and clumsy onscreen keyboard the Wii used.
