This game is basically a real-time Civ game. It's one of my favorites, and one of the best RTS's of all time (in my opinion) Sweet nostalgic intro: Screens: [thumb]http://files.heavengames.com/ron/albums/album23/aaa.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://files.heavengames.com/ron/albums/album23/aab.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://files.heavengames.com/ron/albums/album23/aae.jpg[/thumb] We should get a FP game up and running someday.
It was a fantastic game, but damn the Dutch were overpowered as all hell. If you know what you were doing you could basically have a insta-spawn army with unlimited resources.
One of the best RTS games ever, still have it installed, won't mind a few games with FP either.
I've got it installed, I'd love to see a FP game go up. I'd have to get it to update though, which it isn't doing atm. I always sucked at war, so I aimed for victory by territory control. Constantly expanding my borders with forts and cities and the like.
anyone care to elaborate i'd love to play a real time civ game :buddy
I support the idea of a FP game!
I remember I played a lot of Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends. That game was cool.
Never played it, but have had interest in it. It looks like the gameplay style of Age of Empires with a mix of Empire Earth, right?
I remember playing this with a few people from fp like 4 or 5 years ago over hamachi, it always made for really funny games. Definitely one of the coolest rts ever
I wish they'd make a follow up. And don't say Rise of Legends.
One of my Top 5 strategy games of all time. of all time! [editline]26th August 2011[/editline]
Never played it, but have had interest in it. People often call it a mix of Age of Empires and Civilization. [editline]26th August 2011[/editline]
It was a fantastic game, but damn the Dutch were overpowered as all hell.
anyone care to elaborate i'd love to play a real time civ game :buddy
Its a real time strategy, but nations progress through technological ages through research. You start in the stone age (or other arbitrary starting point) and as you gather resources you can research new technologies like increased city or population limits. When you've reached enough research you can buy really expensive research for the next age. Each new age unlocks new technologies and in some cases resources.

Man this game brings back memories. It was hilarious when your enemy would try to resort to blowing up the world with nukes once he realizes he lost. I would always have a secret nuclear base just in case.
Rush AI, win game.
I love this game. Still have it installed and everything. :D
Ohoho, I spent days in this great game. Stopped playing it from 2008. But since you made me remember it, I'll gonna find my old disc.
Great game, I wish they'd make a sequel.
Fantastic game, but way more fun if you disable the final age.
I remember playing this game years ago, it's fucking amazing!
Fantastic game, but way more fun if you disable the final age.
Yeah, the final age always ruined my strategy. Missile shield stopped me from rushing nuked cities and ai turned my army into "however many tanks/infantry I can instabuild without running out of money/population".
I remember this game. I couldn't help but always use cheats so I had a line of marines coming from my cities to attack everyone.

Unearthed my disk from under a mountain of AOL trials! time for da tnak rush.
GOTYAY Probably the best RTS of all time other than AOE2
Maybe we should play on GameRanger. Or Hamachi.
I liked the way this game implemented the power of The Netherlands.
You guys have the power to get resources out of thin air?
Just re-installed this game.
One of my favorite RTS's EVER
My dad plays this these days, he's so addicted to it.
