Is there a method to play GTA 4 with other people on PC? Someone told me there's a program called Hamachi that lets you do it.
Can anyone confirm?
Hamachi creates a virtualLAN. Pretty sure GTA4 supports MP on live and LAN. Why not just play on LIVE?

I'm guessing he used the pirate discount, or is trying to play with others that did.

You only need Hamachi if the computers in question aren't connected in an actual LAN. It does wizard stuff over the internet to place people in the Hamachi server into a internet 'LAN' to play on LAN servers together.
Otherwise you can just play via GFWL.
And if you can't play via GFWL and have the internet connection required for Hamachi, you're up to something shady.
