Doom 4 was put on hiatus by Bethesda/Zenimax after the Rage launch hubbub. There's talk that id's management might get a serious rework. I think Zenimax wants id games on a more polished and regular schedule.

Where did you hear that from?
Max Payne 3 is the spotlight right now, and then GTA V would most likely come after. You've got to remember Rockstar will always focus on one title for marketing, until the game releases.
