Hey, I am a HUGE fan of Little Big Planet (a ps3 game, (look it up if you haven't heard of it)) and I am a 3D modeler... I have DREAMED of little Big Planet for PC, and hoped for it to be, but I don;t think Media Molecule is going to break their contract with sony anytime soon... so then, I thought, why could'nt you make a source mod that replicates LBP, and I tunred here, because I was wondering if anyone would want to maybe help at all... Heres my contact info if you're interested...

Thank you...
As much as I enjoyed LBP, this won't be getting far, sorry.
And here come the thousands of worn out "ideas guy" jokes.
I know you want to make a good mod but it's not so easy, even if it's Little Big Planet. If I were you, I would put some pictures of the project and info.
Something you could do to reduce the vibe of 'LOL IDEAS GUY'ism: show off your previous work as a 3D modeler.
Your request for help to make LBP doesn't bear relevence when we have no proof/evidence of your work
Garry's Mod...?
Hasn't this thread been on here before?
Couldn't this just be done in gmod

LBP's name is copyrighted by the games publisher I believe, however best of luck to you but... no ones going to join you if you don't provide any work that you've done yourself.
Source would be a horrible engine to make LBP in.
Why would I want LBP: Source when I have the real thing?
Well have fun with that.
Source has too many limits (As subtly hinted by previous posters) to become the engine for a LBP port.
And as mentioned, Garry's Mod is enough, since you can pretty much create contraptions and obstacles like in LBP with props and whatnot.
And hey, Hammer!
Yeah, I'm pretty certain this has been posted before possibly by the same user with an alt account.
But I don't see a LBP mod taking off in the PC community since the game it self takes advantage of what the PlayStation 3 can do community wise.
Plus you would have to change the mod so much that it only hints little big planet.
I doubt you want to get sued on top of a burning mod that won't take off.
On a further note I don't think OP has any work on this mod he speaks of. Since someone posted the exact same thread a year ago with no content what so ever.
You'd be better off doing a Garry's Mod gamemode.
Guide to Creating Source Mod Ideas:
Take X ("X" being the name of a successful or fun game) and add "Source" to the title
Congrats, you have a mod idea!

Half Life 2: Source. Imagine the possibilities! :downs:
LittleBigPlanet is a flagship PS3 title with a production budget of probably millions of dollars, made by a team of over 30 professional game developers. I also don't think there's ever been an example of a AAA game title being reproduced, from scratch and on another platform, by amateur developers.
Just keep that in mind. Starting a project this impossibly huge with your only motivation being "I want to play LBP on PC" is just kinda setting yourself up for disappointment, you know?
I'm not trying to discourage you from modding, of course, but you'll be more successful if you start with a small project you or you and a couple other people can complete in a month's time or so.
I remember there being a video of a guy who made a gravity type mod where you could walk on spheres with gravity similar to that of LBP and it even worked with physics objects. If someone could maybe find out who made that video you could get in contact with him.

You're thinking of this video, right?

You can basically skip 0:25 to 0:55, as he's just walking back and forth around the same platform. Everything else is great though. Would love to see this little mod released, it looks like it'd be great fun in a full level.
