I love gaming FPS, RTS, MMO's almost everything except for horror games. So I thought I'd kick myself in the face and scare myself sh*tless with a horror game. I need suggestions on which ones I should play since I've not really paid much attention to the Horror scene.
I'm defiantly playing the Penumbra series and I'm thinking about Amnesia The Dark Descent. I was wondering if someone could post a few good horror games that have scared people in the past. I'm looking mostly for steam based games but Browser based are alright as-well.

Definitely Amnesia. It's the only game that has scared me enough to quit on a number of occasions.
Yeah man defiantly play those games man.
I can't think of many but Metro, STALKER and Fallout have had some very scary moments for me. A lot of dark places with mutants. When you don't have good gear its really scary not knowing whats around the next corner and the music just makes it more suspenseful.
