It has been 5 years with valve ignoring/deafing half life fans when they ask questions about anything half life related.
I know a large majority of you guys are literally creaming yourselves at any hint of half life.
The lack of communication between Valve and the Half-Life community has been a frustrating experience. While continued support for current and future products is greatly appreciated, fans of the Half-Life series have waited years for a word on when the franchise will return.
So, Instead of focusing efforts in a negative and disrespectful way, we have decided to gain Valve's attention by delivering a basic message:
Your oldest and longest running fanbase would like better communication.
Waiting patiently for over four years is a daunting task, especially when E3 comes and goes without any beat of a Half-Life pulse, time and time again. Valve had stated that information was scheduled to be released towards the end of 2008, and we believe that if they have chosen, for whatever reason, to withhold this information, fans should at least be acknowledged in some way, regardless of developmental plans for the next Half-Life project. The entire trilogy of episodes was supposed to be completed and released by 2007, and if Valve have decided to do other things for the time being, that is fine; all that we ask for is a basic response on the matter
It's quite obvious valve is ignoring the press, and the mass amount of emails they receive from fans, but what if we stepped up the pressure? we all email them at once, EVERYONE, tell everyone you know who likes to jack off to gordon freeman on the weekend to send an email to valve, and join this group. we saw with the l4d2 protest group in the past, that we can get valves attention. The cause seems to be very small, we all want something, but a few of us are voicing our disappointment(there are millions of half life fans, but only a few thousand of us are being vocal), I say we all voice ourselves, all at once, so that valve has no choice to ignore us, it be impossible.
Write to your local valve employee http://www.valvesoftware.com/email.php and join this group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/messagetovalve
If we can get close to 1/2 a million fans to knock on valves door, or go beyond that (which i believe could easily happen) then we would have done something truly awesome.
Let's send so many emails using valves email page http://www.valvesoftware.com/email.php that we make their servers stutter.
Alright, lol - not much else to say about that.
Hey why don't we send crowbars in the mail to them as well that'll get their attention.

mmm well the idea is to be none threatening, but if a few heads need to be smashed, i say go for it.
Keep your panties on.
who cares you're never getting half life 3 heh heh
Wouldn't it be funny if we all signed some petition or something, sent it to Valve, and then they didn't respond at all
I'd highly recommend at this point scouring the web for Mr. Gembe's potential successor.
The lack of communication with Valve is getting to that point real fast.
Well of course with 150% less uploading of the entire game's source code.
I've got the feeling it's been remade like 5 times like TF2

the duke nukem forever syndrome
hl3 is doomed to fail!
Valve told me they have no idea what they're doing for single player games, so...
duke nukem forevers storyline was redone only once or twice as far as i know
their main problem was "staying up to date with graphics" so they kept switching engines to the point that the game had no hope of ever being out
I think it wasn't as muhc a case of redone as kept constantly being added on. And they essentially had one tester on it the entire time, who could whizz trough one hour sections in under ten minutes.
So once the new dev team got it, the majority of their work was cutting it down into a normal game length.
If this turns out like the L4D2 boycott, I swear someone is getting 46 pizzas and a whole lot of gay porno delivered to their house

that and georgie b demanded that the team put in every new thing that appeared in a game, like regen health, as soon as it popped up. as a result there was no solid focus and nobody said "fuck this, we're shipping the game even if it doesn't have regen health or the two weapon limit or whatever george broussard saw halo 2 do when it came out", which is pretty obvious when you play the game itself.
