I have recently been looking at Call of duty stuff when I came accross a video named "Call Of Duty Iron Wolf"
I found more videos about it so I decided to make a thread.
There has been Rumers about this Call of duty Developer playing a Unknowen game called Iron Wolf.
This has infomation than I do if you want a look.

Iron wolf might not be the real name it also might be the Codename.

Posted by Dave Cook:
Iron Wolf, an apparent codename for the next game in the Call of Duty series, has been allegedly leaked over Xbox Live.
The game is rumoured to be currently in development at Treyarch, which suggests it could be the 2012 entry to the series.
The leak came after an Xbox forum post went live yesterday, together with alleged screen shots of someone at Treyarch playing the game over Xbox Live.
You can check out the forum post and alleged images here.
The jury is still out on this one, as it seems unlikely that Treyarch would openly test the game on a retail Xbox console, and in public no less.
However, the codename Iron Wolf does fit into both the Call of Duty canon, and the Black Ops timeline.
Iron Wolf is a Lithuanian special ops unit that was formed in 1991, after the decline of the Soviet empire. The events leading up to the unit's formation were triggered by the cold war, an era that featured prominently in Black Ops.
This suggests that the alleged game will focus on the downfall of Soviet Russia between the end of Black Ops in 1963, all the way through the Nixon and Reagan presidencies and the final years of the Vietnam conflict.
Sorry for the lack of infomation it is not confirmed.
NEW!: This is the proof I was saying about.

Oh hey soviet union again.
How the fuck can you not get sick of this? Almost every game nowadays has Russians as the bad guys.
Tell me more about these roomers.
Iron Wolf is the RUMERS Iron wolf has small RUMERS inside of that, Correcting spelling's.
Wait, you actually think rumour is spelled roomer?
Ahahahaha.
Then you correct it, and can't even spell it correctly.
I thought Firefox came with spellcheck?

I would rather fight Romanians!
Did he really just say that picture at 0:48 "looks a bit like a terminator but it's probably a zombie"?

You really need to get better grammar.

Because Russians have a history of questionable behavior, and the Nazis no longer exist. Russians are the new Nazis.
Is it really news that A new COD game will be coming out this year
Really

Nah, each Call of Duty game takes 2 years to develop, but Activision has Treyarch and Infinity Ward working on interchangeable years that way a new game is released each year. Hence why there is no set time in which each game takes place and why the "order" seems a bit off.
I personally think Modern Warfare 3 was the nail in the coffin for me, I don't see why I should keep paying to play the same game over and over.
As for the videos, this kid states the obvious. Anyone who knows anything about domain registration knows that companies normally reserve similar names to prepare for the future, whether they are used or not. Then of course he analyzes a site that is clearly fake from the start.
Huh. Between that image of that guy apparently playing it, and the name being Iron Wolf, it's almost like the game will be about a Soviet terminator knockoff shooting at shit.
But that's far too good an idea for Treyarch to come up with.
It's like the big "waaa too many WWII games" all over again.
At least put it a couple years more in the future, name it "modern-er warfare" and give us prototype lasers and shit.
Also, russians again. What are they gonna invade now, Australia?
Because Russians have a history of questionable behavior, and the Nazis no longer exist. Russians are the new Nazis.
it's not questionable behavior it's just that they were once enemies of the US
by that logic you can also say that the UK, Mexico and Germany also have a history of questionable behavior
the only reason they're using russians again is because they have no creativity

You judge too quickly. You have no idea who the antagonist of this will be, and since Black Ops was about being in the black ops, it would be more logical to assume you will be in the Iron Wolf ops.
Last time I checked, Lithuanians are not the usual UK/USA protagonist you usually play in these war games.

I don't know, Treyarch are the ones that added lasers, ancient aliens, zombies, moon zombies, and George Romero zombies.

Well yeah, but I'm talking about the whole game being about a T-1000 with a Russian accent and presumably a ushanka. That's a much better idea than zombies.
They could be creative, make it that someone from an obscure, eastern european country needs to fight the USSR because they invaded it, and he eventually meets some american spy. The other story would be of that spy, who needs to go to europe to eliminate a russian spy with valuable information, all this involving lots of different countries and some bourne-esque chases and escapes
someone should hire me
This would be cool, but 99% of the time when we assume stuff like this so early on, we are completely wrong. Not saying it's incorrect, but nothing is official. Again, really cool though.

Also, Call of Duty leaks are really nothing special. Just wait a few months until we get some actual news or whatever.
I will be editing this alot By the way, So I will get the newest info.
Edit: I guess you are right but it might be called this now as most people think its called "Iron Wolf"
Edit: But I will still get some intresting info.
Call of Duty Vietnam or none at all.

That was what people was thinking Blackops was going to be :) :quagmire:

the Iron wolf is a character from a Medieval legend about the creation of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, both the fascist organization and the unit (which is probably made up of 5 people) were named after it because it is an important legend
the quote the video had was a translation of the Legend, where Gediminas was the Grand Duke of Lithuania at the time, Lizdejko was a priest (pagan, not christian), and the Grand Duke saw a howling Iron Wolf on a hill in a dream, which the priest "deciphered" and told Gediminas to build a city on the very same hill, which he did, and now I'm stuck living in the shithole that is Vilnius
I wish they'd at least get out of the modern war era. I'd rather go back to WW2, or even better, go into the future 2142 style. I'd buy a CoD set in the far future in a heartbeat. Or, as people said, a true Vietnam based game would be good as well. No more of this special forces crap, I want to just be another regular soldier again and be part of the group effort. They're all heroes, not just the guys in the made up tacti-cool task forces.

Everyone has a history of questionable behavior, the question is who you side with

Either Vietnam, Korea, the lesser-known theatres of WWII (China, Africa, etc.), or a WWI game.
everyone keeps saying WW1 would be a good idea for a game
it wouldn't
you'd just sit in a trench for 4 years hoping you don't get hit by an artillery shell or a sniper bullet when taking a whiz, until your commander blows a whistle and you heroically run through the middle of a field with illogically inaccurate machine gun fire pointed at you and then you spam nades into another trench until you feel good about yourself and then rinse and repeat
You do realize that most of WW1 was fought in towns, and close quarters combat.... Correct?
Lots of combat also happened underground, and lots of night/forest operations for Trench Raiding.
