Intro

Some of you may remember a post made by me back when KoGaMa was in closed testing. About a week ago, I'm sorry for being late on the post, KoGaMa opened up their Alpha testing. This means that, alongside with a huge patch, you can now create your very own account without being signed up for testing.
No linux support :/
Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention that. It uses Unity Web Player which does not support Linux. They're not going to change it for some time either. Sorry. I would also like to point out the the developers of KoGaMa is going to see this thread, so if you have any constructive criticism it's much appreciated. Thanks in advance. What's KoGaMa?

KoGaMa may look like a copy of Minecraft simply thrown into a browser at first sight, but there's a lot more to it. First of all KoGaMa is all about developing your own game, without having to design any graphic, engine or coding yourself. Second of all it's also a community. KoGaMa is going to be* all about creating your own ''Project'' and releasing it to the rest of the KoGaMa community for others to play. You can also develop these projects with your friends. Right now there's not a whole lot of features, but it's only in it's first Alpha built, so please be patient. You have a basic block design, which is familiar to Minecrafts, the difference is that you can tweak these blocks. You can curve them, spin them and do all sorts of wonderful things with them. There are also different types like ice, and lava stones. You slide on the ice and, of course, take damage if you stand on lava stones. Features

- Sandbox game development - Browser based - Free-to-play - Marketplace - Models - Smaller blocks created for more detailed structures - User friendly interface - A ton of fun games created by players - A full community - You can invite friends to develop projects with you Media

This is a castle build by the developers. These are a few basic blocks. None of them do anything. This is a screenshot taken from my browser. If you use Facebook I would recommend liking their page since they release all their news there at the moment.
No linux support :/
Kinda reminds me of Roblox with the curving and stuff. It is like Roblox, silver, gold, paying for stuff(it's only models but it's going to be clothes soon)

Looks like a great idea, gonna have to check this out.
Bumped. C'mon guys, the people at KoGaMa deserves more feedback!
Any Multiplayer o.O?
I tried this out, but I could never get used to the controls. I'll try it again later.
Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention that. Oh boy, I remember playing this on the FP test account!
Cool levels where it's just pixel art. The art style is really nice, can you bind your mouse to the game screen? I hate having to drag my cursor over and over again.
This is pretty cool.
Any Multiplayer o.O?
I'm sorry If I didn't explain myself clearly enough. Every aspect of KoGaMa is multiplayer, if you so desire. You can develop projects with your friends, but other peoples games are open for anyone to join. There are not a whole lot of players playing right now, but when the game is released Multiverse will start advaticing to bring in a lot more players.
Can you bind your mouse to the game screen? I hate having to drag my cursor over and over again.
Not sure if I understand your question. You can move the screen around if you hold down RBS, but otherwise I don't quite understand this question.
I tried this out, but I could never get used to the controls.
Haha, yeah you gotta get used to the controls at first, but once you've done so it's pretty much second nature.
@ Doom, I think Badunkadunk means that when he moves his mouse so far, it ends up crossing out of the game screen rendering it uncontrollable, I think thats more of a client issue, should try a different browser. In regards to the game, its fun, but somewhat lacking at the moment, I also find it hard to locate any sort of documentation or tutorial, but it is still in an open beta in all fairness.
Open Alpha* If you'd like to I suppose I could compose a tutorial and link it to this thread, given I'm probably more in depth into this game than most people playing it are. If any of you are wondering why I'm the one promoting them, and not the developers themself, it's because I test stuff for them. Whenever a new patch is released I write a report and send it to them. I also think the Facepunch is a good place to go when you want adverticement for a game, but without getting a huge number of people actually giving it a go.
This is actually very nice. I enjoy the level of editing control you have. It would be easier though if you could get controls going similar to that of flying around in noclip on gmod, if you understand what I mean. (Pushing W would move you in the direction forward in the direction the camera is facing.)
PATCH UPDATE! Updates: You can now create shooter games Added guns and health-pick ups Moved to "Create new model" button so it has it's very own button on your HUD Added the pickups HUD button Added a new model for finishing levels, it is now a chequered flag. New model for pressure plates as far as I can tell Added a HD button. This button enable and disables shadows and lighting. New icon for the publish button Whenever you click the publish button you get prompted with a message saying "Are you sure?" When you have not clicked on the game screen, a message appears on your screen saying "Click to control" When you add models to your inventory, the inventory does not open anymore. I encourage you all to go and play the new patch, I personally think it's the best one yet!
