Of all the gaming sites in my opinion, Kotaku is one of the batshit silliest. It often makes no fucking sense, and their comment sections are hellholes.
Their articles are just, retarded really. L.A Noire should'nt be in consideration for Game of the Year, especially with everything that came out this year :/
Their opinions are always so extreme too, like, if DLC is ever brought up things instantly go to shitstorm territory

I do, because I respect other people's opinions, even if it's something "retarded".
Why would I want to look at a website which seems to claim themselves as the best gaming website yet show nothing but bias'd opinion and bad journalism. This extends to so many of the Gawker website it's unreal that people still read them. If you call them out on it they just scream (and their readers) "Oh but we're a gaming BLOG" then stop trying to act like a proper new corporation if you can't show unbiased opinion on anything.
Their writers also seem to thing very highly of themselves all the time, and you know what I think their general demeanour is just horrific for such a large website.
Yeah Kotaku used to be my main gaming news site but ever since they updated the look of their site it just seems like not enough news and more articles on shit stuff.
I mainly use CVG and RPS now.

Kotaku has always been shit. I used to get my news from Gamespot but it seems they have started writing articles on "LOL SO FUNNI XD gaming memes" so now they are shit. There doesn't seem to be many good gaming news websites left.

I browse it from time to time, the guy in the video above is a massive pervert, yet writes a ton of articles from them. If I recall, they'd always be blatantly sexual in nature up until more recently, where he's tried to hide it. There was a period there where he'd pretty much cover nothing but really sketchy topics.
That and the site layout is absolutely horrible, why would they think it was a good idea to switch to this horrible, mobile-ish site that is a pain in the ass to browse?

I only use Kotaku to check up on any news about certan games and such. Say, Dark Souls or Armored Core. Kotaku do have their good moments, the "What Dark Souls Is Really All About" article was pretty good. Would be a good read for someone who doesnt know what Dark Souls is but it does kinda spoil it.
However, some of the Journalists make me wonder what the hell are they thinking at times. I dont really pay attention to journalists reviews or their top whatevers of last year. They are a bit too concentrated with Consoles though.

I've actively avoided Gawker since iPhonegate, tend to stick to Engadget (with a pinch of salt) and joystiq but I'm slowly moving to reddit. I find reading /r/gaming a lot more entertaining than going through pages of content trying to find something interesting

Even among people who read Kotaku, Brian Ashcraft was panned on every one of his articles and Brian Crecente is know to be a cunt. I don't know about the others, but I've frequently seen them reviewing stuff and saying in the review they have no previous experience with the type of product or game.
The Australian editors are hard working, good journalists though and they talk to the community and aren't dicks.
I stopped reading Kotaku though because it takes like an hour a day, tis bullshit.
